it was disappointing because i really liked the color scheme and i did like the feel and sound of the keys but it would power off within a couple of minutes and would have to be unplugged then replugged. very frustrating when online gaming. perfect small size too.
i bought this keyboard on may 20th and loved it at first. the case is solid, the keycaps are nice, and the switches feel great. but after around three months of use, it started having problems. it began to duplicate inputs, and now the w and a keys don’t always work, making it impossible to game or type properly.
i have had this keyboard for 4 months. at first i loved it. then i started to notice my typos. some letters would be missing while other times the letter would be displayed twice. there is no real pattern on when or which letter will or will not type. during the times were i can identify the problematic key i would remove the keycap and press down until i see where the response occurs. sometimes it does not type when fully pressed down, other times it would enter the letter twice. it has become pretty frustrating.i was hoping to change out the switches but they are not hot swappable. having to unsolder them would be a hassle. lastly i have tried a different cable from the one supplied and the issue still remains. since it is passed the return period from amazon, i am no longer able to return the keyboard.
love this keyboard for its feel and size and rainbow lighting. but i am having to throw away. the keys or should we say, certain keys, always needed extra pressure to work which defeats the whole purpose of this style of keyboard. this issue only got worse and more pervasive over time. over time a new issue arose too. keys would suddenly stick or randomly initiate and run wild and not stoppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp . all around just really disappointing. i thought i found my ideal keyboard. and fyi, i did not use the keyboard for gaming. i used the keyboard with my laptop for work.
initially i was pretty happy with this keyboard. but after a month i noticed if i went afk for 20 mins and came back, the keyboard would not work. i have to unplug and replug it in to work again. this is so damn annoying. i shrugged it off because i thought it was a cheaper keyboard, but after recalling i spent $30 on a wired keyboard, that sort of thing shouldn't happen. because i'm out of the return date, i cannot return or exchange. lame. guess i will just have to never go afk! heh.
sometimes it falls asleep and i have to unplug it and plug it back in. it feels cheap. it arrived with little packaging and there was something loose rolling around inside.it's also a bit inconvenient to type fn+shift+~ to write a tilde, but maybe that's unavoidable for a mini keyboard like this.
this keyboard is pretty low quality which is reflected in the price.the key caps are printed cheaply, and the ink was fading when i received it. i do not recommend it.
this keyboard works fine when connected. this is a usb powered keyboard and has illuminated keys. it has recently developed a connection problem whenever i move it around. i continually have to unplug the usb cord, and then reconnect it in order for the keyboard to function. the company (magegee) is not helpful with this. after reporting the problem to them, they advise me to contact amazon about it, since it is still under warranty. amazon only offers me an automated chat session which does not allow me to explain anything.
everything is great with this keyboard but the keys itself.. it's too mushy.. not a fan of linear keys.. i had to swap the keys to pegasus silent tactile keycaps and now it's perfect.
recently i have got into the custom keyboard world. i bought this as a cheap keyboard for my secondary linux machine. i knew is wouldn't be great quality but i was at least expecting it to hot swappable. honestly at the price i can't complain but there isn't much good. it works and it's cheap.
first off the lighting is not very good with dim spots scattered all over the keyboard and keep in mind blue is the only color. aside from that the sound the keys make is very satisfying and very easy to type on.
i really liked the price, but the price you pay is sadly what you get. it is incredibly plasticky. that and the typing experience was not great to my liking.
if you were to buy your first mehcanicall keyboard this is not it. maybe if you have no other options and you dont want a 10$ membrane keyboard but i've used it for a year (modded) and it's been not as terrible as i first tought it would. it is a bad keyboard but no so bad for the price
since the first week, the keyboard started becoming unresponsive. the only way to get it working again is to unplug and reconnect the usb cable. this happens randomly several times a day, making it impossible to work with.
i’ve had this keyboard for about 2 months now and i can say it’s a pretty solid option for budget ballers- but i’ve had some issues with this keyboardpros: great led settings, very compact, decent sound quality, a long cable, and extra keycapscons: the keycap puller included would scratch up and leave marks on the keycap, some keys won’t work i’ve had the most issues with the y and windows keys, the spacebar is horribly loud and i find it really annoying.conclusion: this keyboard is a good option for around $30 but as expected there will be some issues that can affect your experience.
overall, this keyboard functions pretty well given the price and it's a solid budget option. however there are some small mistakes that i think need sharing.1. the backlight doesn't evenly shine through on some keys (as seen in the capslock and left shift keys in the images attached)2. the extra included keycaps (red ones) don't have translucent letters on them, meaning they will not light up. not a huge deal just something i noticed.3. the included tool used to take the keycaps off will not fit in the space above or below the key if the key is on the top or bottom row, making it pretty inconvenient to take those keys out. (see image 3)4. some keys look different than they do in the pictures. for example, the shift and enter keys have arrows next to them on the real keyboard but in the listed pictures, they do not. all the keys with these discrepancies include: both shift keys, enter, tab, capslock, page up, and page down.5. the kickstand feet make the keyboard very slightly wobbly. i have tested this on multiple flat surfaces and it only wobbles when the feet are up. note that it does not wobble constantly, rather only when slight pressure is applied to the top right or bottom left corners of the keyboard. (such as pressing backspace or left ctrl)6. last thing, (very petty) the font appears to be different on the real keyboard as opposed to the font in the pictures. i couldn't find either of the exact fonts used, but when comparing the images side by side the difference is clear.all that being said the only thing that might be an issue is that the keyboard is pretty loud. however if you wear headphones most of the noise is reduced. i tested this with noise cancelling headphones and with noise cancelling off, and i can say that it's not a big deal. however if there is someone in the room with you it will probably annoy them. but hey, the keyboard only costs $30 and for that price it is pretty good. although i would strongly recommend just saving up to buy a higher end one.
