i loved the idea of this box and was so excited to get it but its not very good. pee leaks out of the bottom and puddles under it, because theres a bunch of crevices and cracks in it that litter and pee get into. so when you pull the tray out, the shell still has clumps and dirty pee soaked litter stuck in it and you have to completely dismantle the entire thing to get it out and you have to use a stick or qtip to scoop the clumps out. they need to rework the design.
the design concept makes sense and works for the most part. it runs into trouble with a few things however.1) the slide drawer easily gets jammed up remove and re-inserting causing additional spill2) the drawer is possibly an inch or two too short, litter inevitably gets flicked onto the side ridges which then get wet and the only way to clean it is disassembly.3 ) the front door only swings one way so it confuses the cats, they stop using itit does helping with tracking but all the other faults means, for us, it's easier to use an open or fully enclosed litterbox
i’ve had this litter box since nov. 2023 and it’s now march 2024. it’s nice and cute but for every day use i don’t think it’s very practical. if you’re like me and need to see something to clean it then this litter box is not for you. i also had a hard time cleaning the edges before pulling out the litter box. overall i think it can be good for the right person just not for me.
my cat likes to dig and also pee up on the side, which makes this design pretty terrible.the gaps on the side allow all of litter to escape while your cat digs and makes a huge mess.if the litter isn’t laying flat, it’s hard to open the bottom shelf, therefore pushing all of the built up litter out of the back. overall not a great design.
i was really looking forward to the size of this box for my two cats. it definitely was large enough and easy enough for them to get in and out of. no problem figuring out the entrance and exit. it was a little more cumbersome for scooping time though. took up more space than i anticipated. i did finally get the routine down but....after a few months it took longer to do the cleanup because one or both of my cats were messing up side of the interior and it was leaking out of the openings where it slides in out. the bathroom wall was having to be cleaned and sanitized also. i even had to buy floor protection pads to lay down underneath. so needless to say, i went back to my regular semi-enclosed box where they just jump in and out at the top and it has solid sides so no leaking. gave it a good few months try!
it’s a great litter box and love it, but my babies claw got stuck on the top an she was hanging inside of the litter box she got hurt pretty bad so i made the door to where it can swing open an they can exit from it to.
cats love the new box, but kitty parents, not so much. the grate on top was supposed to clean litter off the paws. the cats hate walking on it, so they jump from the exit door to the bed. this is so fun to sleep in! nothing like getting up off and on all night swiping little chunks of gravel out of the bed. bigger home would be nice, then would be able to move this gravel pit elsewhere.
this box injured my cat, her toes got caught in the slats on the top and she fell in the hole with her leg caught and bending around the opening.i had to grab her to get her out and free her toes. luckily the vet said her leg is ok, but it cost me a vet visit and an urgentcare visit because of a couple cat bites. other than that it is good, the drawer is smooth, it's nice and large for my big cats and sturdy enough. one other thing is is there is a lip around the drawer that collects pee if they urinate close to the sides
keeps the litter contained in one place. one problem is that the urine does not stay in the litter box. there is a gap between the top and bottom and the urine leaks out of the container.
i’ve had this litter box for over a year i love the look of it so much, but there are so many little crevices and spaces for litter feces to get into, making it very difficult to deep clean. biggest problem areas are the spots where the various pieces connect together. if that wasn’t an issue, i would definitely rate this higher.
for the most part, i do really like this litter box. the down side is that, there is leakage from cat urine. the box is sturdy, i like the ease of just being able to pull out the tray to clean it.
everything is great except there are gaps between the tray and the covering, for litter to get in and fall out onto the floor. i had to tape some paper on top of the edges on top of the tray to seal the gap
ive been using this litter box for about 2 months now. ive found i dont like it at all. lots of flaws. the litter pan is not tall enough, so my cat will accidentally pee on the walls and it will get all over the floor and its just a disgusting mess. i thought this would be a great litter box to prevent litter mess on the floor but i would much rather vacuum up litter than clean up pee. not sanitary or safe. not to mention the box is so hard to clean because of all the nooks n crannies so it will never be clean. going back to a regular litter box. would never recommend this unfortunately!
just a heads up, when i ordered this i thought it was a great product.l, but unfortunately if you have a bigger cat it isn't a product you want. my big boy, not over weight, just big. broke his leg because his toes got stuck in the top thin venting holes. i would advise not to purchase if you have a bigger cat.
this litter box with its tray is a wonderful idea that is poorly executed. i consistently find cat urine on my floor, as most cats go in the corner. because of this, urine will seep through the cracks in the opening where the tray slides in. it is unfortunate that i am stuck with this faulty, leaky litter box.
i will say this litter box is super cute but in all areas it is impractical. all of the cracks and crevices are the perfect places for wet litter to get into and due to the shallow pan there’s not much room for error. every time we’ve cleaned it, we have to deconstruct it instead of just sliding out the pan like it suggests.because if you don’t deconstruct it you will miss litter that gets stuck. we were hoping this would be the perfect option for our cat but it only made her more stressed out and she had a really hard time pushing in the door so we inevitably took it off. overall please don’t buy this box… it’s not worth it
do not waste your money on this. it does keep my cats from spraying litter everywhere, but now the problem is pee leaking from the sides of the box. i tried caulking the gaps, but it still leaks. just threw it away for good.
