i would have expected much better for an expensive strip. they started off wonderful and easily configurable! but after less than a year, this strip started appearing as a different hue blue. 2 months later, it seems the blue leds on this segment are shot. the strip is setup to be all blue in the app. pretty disappointed.
maybe i got the bad piece you can see in the pictures and the video the light get dim after around 30ft and at the end it gets dimmer. so i got 3 diff colors in a one solid color function. and its flickering to 🥲
i tried to cut off some of the led strip off at the dotted golden part, but the strip before started changing colors so i had to cut that part too. also some parts of the strip slightly blink and are different shades.
the picture on the box makes you think that there is a led every inch, they are actually every 2 inches. this is half what the picture shows. accurate pictures are very important. show the actual product, not a doctored photo. i can’t see these and hold these before buying. these now have to go back
the lights look amazing. the only issue is that i ordered (and the description said) 100ft of led lights and i received 2 strands of 15 meters (49.2 inches) instead of 2 strands of 50 feet. so now i am short a foot and a half and i would’ve had enough if i was given 100 like the description said, but instead i was only given 98.4 feet. i am giving it a 2 star rating because the lights are amazing, but my room looks stupid because there is just a hole in the chain of lights.
if u r looking to connect this strip to the one that has 4 connectors it’s not going to work. the image shows that this light has 4 connectors but in actuality only 3 - so connectors (that can b purchased separately) won’t work
these lights are not individually controlled that's what the ic in rgbic its supposed to mean. not groups of 6 lights, like this strip does. can't get much of a chase effect when big blocks of lights are grouped together on such a short strip.i expect better from govee than to mislabel a product with a feature it doesn't even have
i'm a huge fan of govee products, but these lights are trash!!!! i had to have them replaced due to bad manufacturing...now, my new replacement only worked for about a month. only lights up red now.
no remote controller. shoddy wifi instructions. difficulty connecting. and when i connected and started setting up the lights it was okay but then i noticed the worst flaw. the led light density was downright miserably low. even for cheap brands. i bought these to replace my day better lights that broke after 3 years of use. saw they were wifi, and usually of higher quality. that seemed to be a lie. especially considering the daybetter ones were 20 bucks and these retail for more than triple that. they're not brighter, nor more dense. it fails in both aspects that you want. what's worse is the rolls of lights cannot be detached from the switch they're connected to. making it a worse user experience in laying out the lights than a cheaper brand. it's more cumbersome and fails in all the metrics compared to cheaper brands, yet it's got a premium price tag. save your money. but any other brand of led light strips you'll be better off. wildly disappointed.picture 1 is the govee lights with their density. picture 2 are the cheapo lights i already had.
lights were ok, length is odd at 13 inches between connections, so using for a design based on feet is impossible. would not recommend unless you don’t plan on making any 90 degrees turns.
do not look at the picture somewhere deep into the description they eventually twll you there is 540 light sources. i shouod have known thats why it was cheap. if your ok with dark spots in between your leds, go for it. but im not... mostly giving a 3 star because the picture on the front shows what looks like 60/m leds and you made it so hard to find the truth in your description
the lights looks great except for the last 10 feet - the white lights look yellow. it’s too late take up all of the lights - it was a huge job laying out all of the tape strips, especially since the adhesive is firmly stuck to all of the boards i just painted black. i even plugged in the lights ahead of time as per the instructions. while i didn’t notice any deference, but then again, this section of lights was towards the end. the other colors are a bit off, but not as much as the white ones, which i use most often.unfortunately, i had to take off 2 stars because of all of the work that went into this job. otherwise, i would have given these lights 5 stars!
i upgraded from the cheaper model to this one and it's pretty much the exact same but with more settings. i personally just keep it on red all the time and was hoping for better lighting but the change isn't really noticeable
