the lids don’t clip together nicely so it isn’t easy to store and my cabinet looks like my mom’s where everything is just thrown in.. even those i try to make it organized. i’ve microwaved them and washed them in the dishwasher and nothing seemed to happen bad so that part is good
reviewing after a year of using the product. i bought the 3.2 cup set of 5 containers. some of the containers cracked (see pictures) about 6 months after i started using them.i didn't realize how small they would be for my requirements. the problem is that lid presses into the container, and so takes up some space. while this is itself is not a bad design, it does become problematic every time you try to adjust the amount of food you store in the container without knowing whether or not it would fit properly. the product is advertised as microwave-safe, but over the course of using them, i didn't have much confidence in heating up food in these containers. and just as i suspected, they started cracking a few months after i started using them. i should have bought glass containers instead, even if they're a bit more expensive.not all is bad, however. these little containers are good if you want to use them just to store some food that you don't intended to heat or warm up, like fruits or snacks or anything light-weight. the lids do make a really good seal once closed.
i bought 2 of these from a big box store. after 3 months of use, i was very pleased and got 3 more from another store. i would always dishwash them, top rack. after about 6 months, they started to become brittle and random cracks showed. maybe from drops, maybe just from use. most cracks and chips showed in the lids.... which then makes them have sharp edges and does not become leak proof anymore. i will not buy these again
all the four boxes i bought cracked causing liquid spill everywhere in my bag and my room. what’s more, i have always been careful with these boxes. just normal microwave usage make them crack. so the quality is so bad considering the price
i got a bunch of these at costco. while they are definitely great when new they all eventually will crack. the kids are usually fine but the body of the container will crack in time. i hand wash everything as i don't have a dishwasher but i did microwave in them from time to time.personally i would go with a glass bottom storage container in the future.
good at firt! but crack and break after a few uses. i am very careful not to even put them to the dishwasher! only one person uses these and no matter how careful we are with them and dont put them into the dishwasher as stated or into the microwave, they havent fallen etc but are cracked and no longer can use them!
these are good storage containers, but they don't last if used in the microwave. two of these were the perfect size to put my lunch in to bring to work and to pop into the microwave to reheat. i got them in february, but by july the ones i'd used in the microwave had discolored and become cloudy, and by september of the same year, they'd become brittle and cracked from being used in the microwave. if these were cheaper containers that were labeled microwave safe, i might not say anything, but these are too expensive to have to be replaced after only six months of use. the ones i didn't put in the microwave are still usable, but if you need something for use in the microwave, then i suggest looking elsewhere.
i bought these containers in october 2021. i've never frozen them nor put them in the dishwasher, only hand washing. only food storage from refrigerator to microwave. they've worked beautifully, no leaking, no staining, but now they are all cracking for no apparent reason. i'm not over filling the containers. they're just cracking. i'd have expected better from rubbermaid. will stick with the glass containers.
