i got these in backwards and adhesion was difficult to remove. ended up using alcohol to loosen and then when pulling the ball bearing rubber strips came out and that was a pain to reinstall. it would've been easier to pull out my drill. and now adhesion strips not working very well. probably find some gorilla glue
a couple concerns with this. one is that once put in, it feels a bit flimsy. also the directions don't tell you to put a brackets so the shelf doesn't flip up in the back when pulled out. not being able to screw the shelf in actually isn't a great thing. you have to make sure everything is exactly right or it's a loss. one shelf actually broke on me and i had to toss it. this second one i can almost guarantee i'll replace with some better sooner than later. not a fan. would not buy again. would not recommend. buy a wood one that fits your space that you can screw in.
i like that this can be expanded to fit individual needs and i don't need to drill holes into my cabinets. it also comes with extra sticky tape if you're like me and will need to move it. i wanted this for a tall, deep cabinet and installed in a top section. the problem is i can't see anything in it! it needs to be installed at or below eye level. it also sags in the middle when fully extended, despite non heavy items, so i recommend not extending fully. i will keep this, keeping the above in mind.
this was a nightmare from the beginning. no written instructions. no labeling back from front. i first put the adhesive tape on the gliders and adjusted the unit to fit and pull out of the cabinet perfectly except when trying to take it out of the cabinet it continually slid back and forth out of the correct width. i used packing tape to hold it in place and thought everything would be fine. it worked fine until i took the tape off the sticky part to attach it to the cabinet. i stuck it in place and it wouldn’t budge a fraction of an inch. it wouldn’t glide it was stuck in place. i finally ended up ripping off the bottom part of the gliders and pulled it out leaving the strips of ball bearings in the bottom of the cabinet. my husband finally took two putty knives to pull the tape out of the bottom of the cabinet never again. it would have been a great shelf well made and sturdy but at least label front from back if there is one and give some written instructions it’s now totally worthless
bought 2. one for top and bottom shelf of my cabinets. top one is great, slides easy. the bottom one snagged my cabinet after we finished installed it and chips the paint off when you slide it out. removal was horrible. it broke my cabinet and mangled the slide out drawer. would not repurchase or recommend unless you want it to be permanent. or damage your cabinets
i was so excited about this product. i was having trouble finding something that could be installed in my office that could be easily installed without damaging the furniture. it needed to be sturdy and wide enough for my printer.i think this product would have been great. it seemed to be nice, sturdy material. it was super easy to install.but then i tried to pull it out a couple of times. i wanted to make sure it worked before i put any weight on it. it pulled out really smooth. so smooth it didn't stop. it came all the way out. when i took a closer look i could tell that part of the tracks were loose. and when i pulled the drawer out, those tracks just came out.i understand that sometimes even the best products can have defective parts. what really frustrates me is that they don't want to give you a refund unless you pack it back up in the original packing and take it to a drop off place. i don't mind doing that if the error is on my part (like ordering the wrong size). but why should i have to go to all that trouble if the product had broken parts? (as a disabled person, i use amazon because it is hard for me to get out of the house. )i've had other sellers that have taken responsibility to fix things when i received damaged items (like a damaged book or shampoo that leaked in transit). but here i was stuck paying for a defective item.
