this is an adequate portfolio for papers. not sure what the intended use is for the smaller piece. it is a popular color. inner surface will not provide protection for your laptop.
so, this picture is deceiving. i thought these two zippered compartments were attached, which is why i ordered it. but, upon receiving it, i learned that they are just 2 separate cases, which defeats the purpose for me. i liked the idea that they were attached so the cord case would always be with the laptop case. bc they’re two separate, i have to be sure to make sure they’re always together, which is just annoying. will probably keep bc i don’t want the hassle of returning and ordering a new one, but i am super disappointed. they should definitely show a more accurate picture :(that being said, i like the color of the case and the zipper seems to work smoothly. it doesn’t seem super sturdy and protective, but probably enough for most people who are super careful and gentle with their laptops.
i bought this specifically to protect 12.9 ipad (with magic keyboard) when i travel. despite what other reviews may say, it is simply too small and my ipad does not fit into the sleeve without a tremendous amount of force. it is even more difficult to remove.
updated review:i had to change my rating from five to two stars. i have been using this case for a bit over a month now. i really liked it at first, but now the fabric around the zipper is fraying which makes it almost impossible to open at times. i have been using it every day, i keep it in a backpack and unzip it maybe once or twice a day. so what i'm trying to say, is that i haven't been abusing it. it has been a little over a month of normal use and while the rest of the case is just fine, the zipper is fraying. if it gets worse, it will unfortunately make the case unusable.--------------------------------------------------this case is so nice for the price. the outside is really tough, yet soft to the touch and true to the pink color in the photo. the inside is fuzzy and soft and a perfect cushion for my mac. i love how there is a small pouch for the charger as well because my cord can get tangled in my backpack. overall just a really nice case in general and the price can't be beat.
