i am a longtime tomtoc fan but this item is being sold under false pretenses. it is not for the 14-inch macbook pro. this is the defender a13 which is for the 13 macbook air. when you try to zip it up, you will see that there is very little room and the zippers will most likely scratch your machine. i returned mine.
it's a little too small for the 16 macbook pro. you have to squeeze the corners over the corners of the laptop and it really doesn't fit it right. i was going to return it, but with the holidays, i just forgot and missed the window - stuck with it now. i'd look at other cases to protect the new macbook pros.
the rubber pull tab on one of the zipper has come off leaving it with the cording that will most likely draw and come off as well. such a disappointment after a short time of having this sleeve for my laptop. part of the time not being using because i was not traveling to work for several months.
although the amazon listing specifically described this case as fitting the 2021 14 inch macbook pro (a2442), the case that i received did not fit properly.the case looks about the right size from the outside, but the problem is that the material is not stretchy at all. the only way i could get my laptop all the way inside in order to zip it up was to invert the zipper portion at the top, then insert my laptop, then forcibly fold the zipper portion back over the laptop, then finally zip it up. folding this zipper portion back over the laptop took so much force that i was worried it may damage the laptop hinge.i've contacted the manufacturer to get their advice (maybe it's a qa/manufacturing issue) and will update this review accordingly if they can send me one that fits.+1 star for now since the case otherwise seems sturdy and well-made.edit: (-1 star) no response from manufacturer after 72hrs. will be returning to amazon.
looked good at the beginning. now, after 3 months of use, it starts to peel off. look else where unless you are not a heavy laptop user who doesn't travel very much. quality isn't the best.
the case provides a decent level of protection for your macbook, but it only has great support at the bottom, not at from all sides. the material indide is very hard and i was afraid it will scratch my laptop. outside of case is also very hard, cheap feeling material. getting the macbook in and out of the case is not very simple. case is very thick and heavy, not good looking.
it is well made, so i gave it 2 stars. i wish it actually fit the product i bought it for and which it claims to fit. it is literally about 1mm to small but the rounded edges will not fit over a mac without an epic struggle. if you are interested in spending 5 minutes to wrestle a computer into a sleeve, maybe this is great. but if your intent is to simply slide your mac into the case and move on, that doesn't happen.
nice product but it came with one of the linings ripped apart. the return process take too long and waiting for a refund to buy it again would be at least one week and i need the product right now. also i have to drop it on a usps office since they do not pick up in our apartment complex, more work, so i decided to keep it, but i am not happy with the quality. i’ll have to fix it by myself
it was not the product i ordered, the size is too small for a macbook air and the bag is not the same as the one in the publication. that's misleading advertising, i feel disappointed.
i bought this for a dell xps 13 and it did not fit well. the zipper closed but it was such a tight fit it was always a hassle to put it in and take it out. otherwise it looked great and felt durable. item was returned.
