not very protective. definitely would not help much for a fall. the actual laptop storage area is awkward and kind of seems designed upside down. wouldn't buy again

domiso 15.6 inch laptop sleeve with handle shockproof computer bag waterproof eva protective carrying case for 15.6 lenovo yoga 720 ideapad 310 320 thinkpad t570/dell inspiron 15/hp envy 15, black‎ asin# b087bxzp7li got this for an acer vero laptop i just purchased. there will be times that i will use my backpack to transport this laptop. i want to protect the laptop from bangs, bends, and pressure points while inside my backpack as well. and i also want something to store the acer in when not in use. i didn't need any compartments, it just needed to comfortably fit into one of my backpacks and any accessories that i might need i can carry in the pack's compartments. so i wanted a laptop case that would be hard enough on the outside to protect the computer on the inside, but not so hard as to feel like a concrete paver pressing into my back either. and of course there is the padding, a biggie when it comes helping to 'shock proof' the electronics and the display screen on the unit. i poured through many an amazon ad before i decided on this one.when it first arrived i was pleased with the hard plastic-like water resistant shell, and the laptop (15.6) fit well enough into the sleeve when i made use of its velcro strap. and it is an attractive enough looking case, but that wasn't a big deal to me. i liked the fact that it contained a seat belt inside to keep the laptop in place, and not flopping around inside while i am in motion. and that the handle side was placed on the opening side of the case, that way it's almost impossible for my old brain to forget to zip this up. if i should forget to zip it, the case would flop open and remind me to zip it as soon as i grabbed the handle, and the computer would remain safe and stay inside as long as i also remembered to 'strap it in' beforehand. should i forget to both 'strap it in' and zip it up and the laptop did fall out? . . . well then it's time for me to check into a senior care center, and i might be too old to rock and roll but i'm too young to die. also the domiso having a few storage pockets is pretty cool too. and this all seemed good, this was a keeper, it seemed like a great value for the money, until i noticed that the padding on both sides of the case was lacking. the padding was about as thick as what you might find on the removable insoles of a cheaper athletic shoe. i thought about getting some foam inserts to modify the case to my liking, but why shouldn't the manufacturer have thought of that? back it went. these are some of the pitfalls of online shopping, to not be able to see and touch the product before the purchase.i can't recommend this based on the lack of padding. if you're only ever going to use this to go from home to car, to office or school, it is just fine. but if it might get a little more of a bumpy ride?... keep on shopping.as for me, i ended up with finpac 15.6-inch hard laptop sleeve case compatible with 15.6 inch acer aspire, asin# b09q86lxfw, significantly more padding on the inside, hard shell on the outside, and more protection for my uses. about 2$ more as of this review.i can't by any means give this domiso case 1 star, it is definitely better than that. nor can i give it the full monty rating of 5 stars either.2 points off for lack of padding. all the rest is good. another product seemingly designed by those who might not actually use it themselves, imho.3 stars is fair. but alas, i might be the only amazon/online shopper who actually reads the 3 star opinions as well as the 1 5 stars too.if this helped you, show me the clicks! so i'll know this was worth the effort to help guide others out there in this brave new world of cyber shopping.

you can press on it with your finger and bend it in. it doesn't seem to offer much in the way of rigidity. it might be good for water resistance. but i wouldn't use it for the intended purpose of accidental dent prevention. if i could find one just like this, but make with an extra ounce of plastic, perhaps a half mm more thickness, then it would be worth using. this one will probably go slide into the trash can when i find a better one on amazon.
