i don't think it would be too hard to make this work, but there's multiple flaws here. first of all the middle screw has no point to it so what do you fasten that to? you have to make an extra hole with the other screws to make that work. right now it's just protruding out of the wall because i need to do that, which is extra work that isn't necessary. just make the middle screw smaller, solvedthe second thing is the actual handle to hold the guitar is wonky. not really built to fit a wider neck as the guitar i have up right now is a classical. so it kind of makes my guitar extend at an unnatural angle that draws away from the aestheticthe wood is nice and technically it works, but idk why they even put screw holders in the bundle as they're useless. also no instructions
when out together, it's wobbly at best.the fork portion that hold the guitar is just long screws bent and wielded together.a cheap threaded insert holds it to the wood base. seems to be decent neoprene covering on the holder, so at least not cheap surgical tubing.after assembled, it's adjustable, but wobbles horribly. not exactly confidence inspiring. i'm sure it would work ok, but i don't know. i could have put something like this together from scratch in 15 minutes in my garage. i'd hoped for something better by buying something advertised and built specifically for the purpose.not impressed.
the plastic spacers are delicate and it split as i was putting the hanger together. i didn't use excessive force. just enough force to orient the hanger in the right direction without be loose. waste of money.
i bought the two pack. one is great but the other snapped on install. you hand thread the metal u piece into the wood and it wasn't even fully set and just broke off, so very little pressure i wasnt torqueing on it at all. worst weld i have ever seen. i have no doubt it would have broke by just dropping the darn thing on the carpet and its metal! haha. at least one worked though. if you only need one it might be smart to buy two just incase one breaks like it did for me. best of luck buyers!
don’t even waste your time with this product. this company uses cheap wall anchors to cut corners and the consumer pays the cost which is having a wall mount that doesn’t mount securely. these things should be removed from amazon.
the included drywall anchors are really cheap and break easily, i tried installing one and it broke off half way in. will ruin your drywall, don't buy.
do not use the included screws and anchors, they are made extremely cheap, bad product. they snapped off in my wall, which was absolute hell to fix. after removing the wall anchors, my drywall was left with 2 large holes.
these arrived and upon inspection i was not a fan of a bolt welded to the yoke. i questioned the quality of the weld and thus the strength. that said, i will evaluate over time. this hanger looks good and is holding the weight of my les paul, so far. pay attention! the mounting hardware is minimal at best. the screws should be screwed into a stud. the plastic anchors are much like packing peanuts as they are totally risky to use when hanging expensive instruments. go get some sturdy anchors like the toggle mollys or the heavy metal screw-in anchors. do your own research here. but for the cost you really get a pretty good hanger. the negative reviews are mostly from those who do not comprehend the care needed when employing such a device.
