inconsistently sharp along the blades.cuts cheesecloth easily if cutting on the tip 1/3 of the blades. the 2/3s to the pivot (screw) just chew the fabric. i will buy better scissors elsewhere. costco has 3m scissor 3 pack for 50 cents less.
these are really cheap scissors.we tend to lose scissors quite often, so i was really hoping these affordable ones would help.unfortunately, they are terrible at cutting, even when worked on with a blade sharpener.for me, they were a waste of money, and from now on i will only buy the top brand name in scissors.
the scissors works fine in general, just two flaws that i don't really like.1st and the major one is the sharp outer edges. the edges are like really really sharp 90 angle straight from the cnc. can easily slide through skins if not careful enough.2nd is the material of the blades. they don't look like titanium fused, instead they appears to be regular stainless steel blades. you can still see the cnc marks on the blade, which indicates that the blade came out straight from the cnc machine with no further coating.again i really hate the dangerously sharp outer edges..they really should have sanded the 4 edges just like how they sanded the front and back sides of the blade. might spend some time and manually deburt it one day.the bare stainless blade is not as good a a real titanium fused blade which provides some degree of non-stick.besides the two main flaws, the rubbery inner ring of the handle will become an issue sooner or later when it turns sticky.i could be wrong that they might have made the full blade with pure titanium instead of titanium coating/fused; but this shouldn't be the case due to the price point; and it sticks to magnet.somewhat disappointed overall.
yeah, they're 8 scissors, but the axle is located such that the blades are 3/4 shorter than my other 8 scissors. this way, we get less steel / cutting length and more plastic in the handles. they're ok for $ 2.74.
i have other ti scissors and the color is always a matte dull silver but these are just regular shiny metal color so not sure about being ti infused. they are sharp but not as sharp or smooth as the wsct brand.
they are well made in the part of being very ergonomic, they have a decent weight but they are not sharp enough and the feel like they are serrated , is like they sharpen them with something that was damaged because they feel wierd when you open and close to start cutting, i try cutting fabric and they just give me a hard time.so in general i will not buy them again .
overall they're some nice scissors. but the plastic hinge pins are the first things to go. if you're going to use these more than once a month for light duty, invest in something with a better hinge pin...
