i loved the idea of this box and was so excited to get it but its not very good. pee leaks out of the bottom and puddles under it, because theres a bunch of crevices and cracks in it that litter and pee get into. so when you pull the tray out, the shell still has clumps and dirty pee soaked litter stuck in it and you have to completely dismantle the entire thing to get it out and you have to use a stick or qtip to scoop the clumps out. they need to rework the design.
my cat likes to dig and also pee up on the side, which makes this design pretty terrible. the gaps on the side allow all of litter to escape while your cat digs and makes a huge mess. if the litter isn’t laying flat, it’s hard to open the bottom shelf, therefore pushing all of the built up litter out of the back. overall not a great design.
this litter box with its tray is a wonderful idea that is poorly executed. i consistently find cat urine on my floor, as most cats go in the corner. because of this, urine will seep through the cracks in the opening where the tray slides in. it is unfortunate that i am stuck with this faulty, leaky litter box.
this litter box is very cute and it’s so nice that there’s a front and top entrance! but it is very flimsy for its price and seems very cheap. also, please do not buy if your kitty pees on the walls of the litter box. because it’s a self assembling type litter box, there are seems where the urine can seep through. we wrapped ours in a trash bag to keep the pee from seeping out but that meant we had smelly urine sitting there until we changed the bag. maybe it works better for cats who actually know how to pee in the sand and not on the walls
let me start with the pros:- 2 entrances, convenient- sliding tray is convenient for cleaning and scooping the litter- looks cute (?)cons (and why i'm getting rid of this after 4 months of use, and after the return window is sadly closed):- since it's a foldable design, there are a ton of little ridges that collect dirty pee litter that then clumps inside of those.. it's impossible to clean those out out, even with a toothbrush or qtips (yes we tried). no matter how much we cleaned, the litter box kept smelling badly because of this.- if your cat is only slightly part of the horizontal pee'er team, their pee will leak through the seams and will drop on the floor. you might not notice at first, but you will smell it eventually. not fun.- the front door hinges are too low, making it uncomfortable for (even) kittens to enter. she just ended up entering from the top instead.we opted for a no-seam, two-part, single-top entry bucket design to prevent this from happening again. now i know why our friends haven't visited us anymore for the last couple of weeks
first and foremost it does look like the photos, but it’s a bit cheaper than i was expecting, but it’s plastic so that’s my fault… coming back to update. the plastic doesn’t hold up, mine is starting to leak very badly when they pee and i can’t figure out why. i think it’s due to the plastic being so flimsy, that it just leaks through where the two pieces attach. i’m also a very clean person and clean the litter box almost every day so it’s not because it’s a built up of me not cleaning it.however mine did not come with a scooper or a brush cleaner so a bit disappointed in thati also don’t know why it shows you can hang the scooper on the side bc you can’t with mine but that’s maybe bc mine didn’t come with the one they were suppose to providephotos show the gaps in the two pieces that attach and where my paint came off due to it leaking
i ordered this litter box for my large cat. i kept smelling urine even after cleaning and changing liter continuously. i then realized after a few weeks that the urine is coming through the sides. i am very unhappy with this design and now it’s weeks past the allowed date to return. horrible design! i spent a lot of money on this product! is there somehow i can get a refund?thank you in advance!!!
do not buy. save your money. i loved how easy the pull out drawer made it to clean the litter box.then it started leaking and i found a puddle of urine under the box. this litter box is not well made at all.
easy to set up but this is a terrible design. the urine runs out the back and it’s not deep enough to even last a couple of days. very disappointed in this item
i got this litter box for the sole purpose of it being pink and there’s not too many pink little box options out there. this litter box sucks. in terms of number 2’s, sure it’s fine. but the pee? the leakage? the fact that it takes like 30 minutes to clean? horrible. i’m talking pee all over the floor. pee all over the edges of it. would never recommend this to anyone who isn’t okay with cleaning the box every other day. save your coinz!!!
this is a short term litter box imo because it's kind of flimsy. i do like that the bottom slides out for easy cleaning and the color but those are the only positives to me. we'll see how long this litter box lasts though.
it has a major problem on the backside if the liter box and slide out tray in that my female cat gets in and pees and it leaks through at the seam of the tray and back wall on to the carpet. i have to put a potty pad down in order to keep the carpet from getting wet. poor design. not satisfied at all.
the design of the box is not suitable for cats that spray or pee vertically. almost of a daily basis, i had to deal with wet litter and pee that escaped the litter box. it was honestly frustrating. if your cats uses the litter box normally, i would recommend. otherwise, i would not. plus the tray is very shallow. for the cost of the litter box and the inaccurate website description, it isn’t worth it.
the idea for the design of the litter box was very creative. i like how there are holes on the top to help litter fall back in and the scoop can be attached on the sides. however, the lid cracked within the first five minutes of my cats using it. for reference, my heaviest cat is 13 lbs and the recommended max weight is 15 lbs. the litter box material does feel pretty cheap. hopefully, it doesn’t crack any more. also, you can’t really add too much litter to the tray or else it’ll just fall out in the back when you’re pulling it out to clean it. i usually add 2-3 inches of litter because my cats dig a lot, but i’d have to flatten and even out the litter before pulling out the tray because they make a pile digging in the litter. and then since they make a pile of litter, any excess litter will fall off behind the tray (see picture). i could try adding less litter and putting a large litter mat underneath to help reduce the amount of litter that gets on the floor. i really want to like it, so i’ll give it another chance.
this litter box is roomy and the drawer on it is convenient, however the plastic is very weak and i'm afraid that my big boy will eventually break the plastic as it doesn't seem very sturdy. only time will tell.
i loved that the drawer pulled out for easy cleaning but that was the only thing i liked. if the cat would pee at the back of the litter box or pushed the litter up the side it would push the litter out or cause it to rest in the wall behind the drawer. this build up made the smell of urine to be horrible unless it entire box was taken apart and cleaned daily. i wouldn't recommend this design.
initially loved the design of this litter box. but unfortunately after a couple months, we have had to throw it away. because of the foldable design, there were crevices that pooled urine and were incredibly difficult to clean. we tried multiple methods to keep it clean but nothing worked due to its design. very disappointed.
while i wanted to love this, it was a bust! the pan is too shallow so litter and urine end up coming out of the back. it’s a great concept but the design needs work.
