really just very tired of dealing with returns and poor customer service these days so i just kept the kennel instead of dealing with the hassle of a return. also just didn’t know if it left the manufacturer in this condition or was damaged during transport. kennel functions great. love the door; very easy to open close with one hand and my kids don’t struggle with it. would have been a 5 star if it arrived in good condition. otherwise seems to be a great kennel and also the insert the dog sits in appears to be pretty solid. i can’t see it being chewed up, but i have a puppy, i’ll be able to test the integrity better if he’s a chewer once he’s grown.
this is a complaint about amazon not the product itself. this is the second crate to keep at a different house they are a good value for the money and hold up well. amazon is the issue.. first the crate was clearly damaged and it was delivered anyway, secondly when i call to report it they don’t have an actual person to talk to and don’t give you the option until the very end. to top it off i have to wait another 4 days for a new one to be delivered and take the damaged one that they delivered to one of their drop off points instead of them just picking it up.
the entire quality of the product is questionable, we received the crate first time and we aren’t even able to lift it up as the entire thing is locked together. reached out to cs and they sent over a replacement item. this crate is very heavy, we have to moved this item twice to our apartment. the 2nd time of receiving it we weren’t able to open up the 2nd layers of it, again it completely locked. contact cs again, very poor service/ response. i will rather to spend more to purchase a better quality product, now i still have to repack the entire crate into the box for ups to pick it back up.
do not buy!!! will not fit your dog in!!! it barely fits my cat in and with a divider it would beauty fit 2 kittens. its junk and cheap and they don't even send shipping labels to return items. my bf says thats what you get from buying stuff like this online. i want to send it back but it will cost me more to send it back. i hope when you read this seller that your ashamed of the scam your pulling here!!
i don’t normally leave reviews, but i’m feeling pretty frustrated. we have been using this crate for our puppy for about 2 months without issue. tonight, while i was getting ready for bed, i put our puppy in the crate and she laid down to go to sleep. the next thing i know, she starts screaming and when i got to her, she had a toe on one of her front legs caught in puppy divider. it took me 5 minutes to free her as her leg was somehow twisted under her and almost had to cut the wire with wire cutters. i ended up having to get in the crate with her in order to free her, which isn’t ideal when a dog is scared and in pain. i tried calling amazon and the customer service agent told me that since the 30-day return window had expired, there was nothing that they could do. he said i would have to contact the manufacturer, but when i pointed out that this was an amazon-branded product, he again said that since the 30-day return window had passed, there was nothing that could be done.
we bought this cage to cage train humanely in our apartment once we got a new dog. we adopted a dog a bit ago and put him in the cage for 10ish minutes while we were home the first time. the cage came a little bent but was fine and working. he was fine while we were home and had no issues since. we left our doggo alone for 5 minutes today and with our cameras it shows he was messing with the door. he’s a medium sized dog and the cage bent more because of how it was already bent. amazon didn’t do anything about it after it could’ve become dangerous to my animal. it says there’s a warranty, they won’t do anything after 2 months, even though it shows a year warranty. don’t buy, bends super easy and it’s bad quality.
thought customer service would be better with an amazon basics product with a 1 year warranty. our small 30 pound puppy was able to break the side wires within 4 weeks. i eventually got a refund after speaking with customer service.
