i bought this item because of the reviews saying it was nice, once opened i looked at all of the keys and realized it was scratched!! very unhappy i want a refund!!
this keyboard works fine when connected. this is a usb powered keyboard and has illuminated keys. it has recently developed a connection problem whenever i move it around. i continually have to unplug the usb cord, and then reconnect it in order for the keyboard to function. the company (magegee) is not helpful with this. after reporting the problem to them, they advise me to contact amazon about it, since it is still under warranty. amazon only offers me an automated chat session which does not allow me to explain anything.
bought thus keyboard for my son for christmas (yes, 2 months ago). he loved it until yesterday when he brought it to me with 4 keys not working. we have tried cleaning the keyboard, switching and replacing switches to no avail. no liquids have been near the keyboard at any time. i knew it wouldn't last a terribly long time but 2 months is ridiculous. buyer beware!
i bought this keyboard in the fall as a christmas gift for my son, so by the time he opened it, the return window was closed. he used it for a few days with his xbox and then it suddenly stopped working with the xbox. it lights up but the keys don't work anymore. i found the company's website and emailed them through it, but they never contacted me. will definitely be looking elsewhere for a replacement.
the first keyboard didn’t fully light up - i tried to troubleshoot and even sent a message to vendor - no response. we returned and got another one. after two months the a key stopped working. then the d key stopped working. i wouldn’t recommend. my son went nuts.
all of the barcode stickers on the box were overlapping a prior sticker set, and and the box was torn, it was obviously a prior return, but otherwise was clean and seemed fine. i had some problem with the win/mac alt/option config, but didn't think much of it, until i realized the alt/option key didn't work at all. and it was a week past the 30 day prime returns. it took me quite a while going through the website to reach a real person who processed the return... but what a hassle.
it came broken and they won’t give me a refund. the space bar was stuck and wouldn’t work once i fixed it. also the noise of the keys is so bad. it sounds like cheap chinese plastic.like they found the plastic out of a polluted ocean. horrible
partly my fault since this was a day 1 issue, but i kept saying i'd get around to it, not realizing amazon only does a 30 day return policy of which i was a few days out of that.number 9 key doesn't work most times. imagine how many times i have to input my password because i didn't realize it didn't register the 9 key. and there's no way to replace the defective part, so i resorted to contacting the manufacturer, twice.neither times have they replied back.this is 100% their fault and they need to fix it and make me whole. but they ignore me.so 2 stars. 1 star for most of it working and the other for it looking cool. minus 3 stars because of the defect, clearly from the factory, and for not responding to a paying customer when they need help for a defective part.never buying anything from this company anymore.
cheep, cheep, cheepcheep. anyway, it is very cheap, comes with some spare keycaps, for customizing. it has legs for adjustment. not much to say about this. i like it for when i dont have my main keyboard in service, as a spare.
good item for the first month. but as soon as the amazon return window is over, the keyboard started having problems. essentially, if i need the computer for a few minutes and don't touch the keyboard, it stops responding. if i watch a video for a few minutes in full screen, it loses connection too. i would have to unplug and plug it back in. when i contacted magegee about it for warranty and support, it says please contact the seller directly for warranty information for this product. you may also be able to find warranty information on the manufacturer’s website. i contact magegee via email. they tell me to figure it out via amazon. i guess i learned a lesson here. there is a reason why these are cheap cause they start having issues in less than 2 months.
magegee has a 1 year warranty on the keyboard. one of my keys has been sticking, it is not dirty, and was not used improperly, after 8 months of use. it was not used for gaming, only for office work. they key would either double register, or not register at all. i contacted their customer service, they told me to contact the sell to replace. amazon does not do replacements that far out, and they know this. warranty is a a loose term, they will only replace if the seller window to return is still open, and no one has 1 year returns, certainly not amazon. worked great while it did work, but shoddy customer service, and potentially shoddy quality assurance.
