the “iq” in this charger is so frustrating. hooked only a usb-a lightning cable to an apple charging mat. laid down my phone for the night to charge while on vacation. also laid down my airpods on the other side of the charging mat. airpods start dinging off and on that they are getting an interment charge. phone is not charging. always hard to tell what’s going to work and what won’t work when plugging in to this charger. returning it.
garbage. purchase used like new died one day after 3 months. company won't honor warranty.none of the ports work.do not buy this as anything other than new, and even then, beware!
disappointing! the charger itself is fast, powerful, compact and can charge most of my devices at once. however, good luck keeping it plugged in. it continuously disconnects from the power outlet, you can use the holding fixture, try different outlets but you will never be able to stop the plugged in notification music coming out of your phone as it continuously gets disconnected. i contacted the company initially as i thought it is a problem with my charger but the new one they sent me had the same exact problem
this little thing has 2 usb-c ports and 1 usb-a port. now, i only have power coming from one usb-c port; then usb-a port doesn't work at all. i have contacted anker customer service and am hopeful they'll send a replacement. it worked well for about 6 weeks, then had these issues, and i've basically forgotten to get it replaced since then, as i've just used other charge boxes.when it works it's a great little charge box in a small size.
this was a very convenient and effective charger for four months, then it died. its larger counterpart is still going strong, neither has been subject to any accidents or rough treatment.i like the form factor, connectivity, and speed of charging, but at this price point four months is a short service life
this item is a dud. i have over 100 anker items, having purchased the brand repeatedly since 2013. never had an issue with a single product except for the anker 735. this is my second one and it's being returned. my first from march 2022 is out of warranty but the issue i am having on both appears to the charger itself.the anker 735 does not charge consistently. my wife's 2019 hp chromebook that requires 45w will not even trickle charge ever. since she only occasionally used this charger, i thought it was user error or a bad cable. however, she unknowingly bought us a second done in late december 2023. i confirmed she is using a high quality anker powerline iii (100w capable) and tried other high wattage cables. no matter what cable, the 735 does not charge it. every other anker 45+ watt capable charger we have such as the 715 and 713 charge the same laptop without issue. every non-anker charger i have will charge the hp also.i got a usb tester and the 735 seems to fail negotiating the pd charging. it outputs 5v at such as low amperage it reads at 0.1 or 0.2 watts. every other charger kicks in at 20v putting out around 45w.in addition, my pixel 6a blinks back and forth between rapidly charging and not charging. again, i thought it was cable or bad connection. when i had the same issues with the second plus both unit occasional failure to charge my new lenovo flex 3i chromebook, it is the charger.i contacted anker support and the warranty on the first is only 18 months. no exceptions even for a person that was until now a huge anker brand champion. the anker agent chalked it up to quality control and that i just happened to get two defective units 22 months apart. is there quality control that bad? it must be.
the initial legendary cs from anker has evaporated and replaced with lazy boiler plate responses. bottom line- outside of the one year warranty anker will not replace your defective product.
one month after warranty up anker would not replace broken charger with normal use. electrical prongs broke and could be plugged in with one prong. not good.
i bought this to travel to charge an ipad, iphone 14, and an apple watch. i have yet to get it to charge all 3, and it is a serious challenge getting it to charge my watch and phone. i replaced both charging cords thinking my cords were bad, but it still has issues. i bought it for travel and did not use it right away, or i would have returned it. i have tried it on 4 different trips with the same results. i put my watch and phone on it and have to mess with the plugs (unplugging and replugging in) until they both appear to be charging. one night though after thinking they were both charging, i went to bed to hear the charging bing a few minutes later. both my phone and watch continued to click in and out of charging (binging and lighting up even though they were both under 50% charge). i eventually unplugged my watch because my phone was more critical.update: i contacted anker and literally 2 of their suggestions were absolutely ridiculous considering what they are advertising this device for. here is a quote from their response: 3. if possible, try using a more powerful wall charger to pair with your wireless charger, as the current charger may not be providing sufficient power to charge all devices simultaneously. ... 5. if the issue continues, consider using alternative charging solutions, such as charging the devices one at a time to ensure a stable and consistent charge. so why have 3 outlets if i have to charge 1 device at at time per suggestion number 5. and 3 is try using a more powerful wall charger? really this is the response from anker. so bottom line is do not buy their products expecting them to do what they are advertised to do. no we are sorry or we will make this right. just a response to charge 1 unit at a time from a unit advertised to do 3 at a time. i was not even expecting 3 fast at a time. i would have been happy trickle overnight just 2 at this point. so on trips, i must be tied to an outlet and anker charger to continually rotate which device is charging. not practical or realistic when on business or vacation trip. i have purchased many anker products in the past and have never been so disappointed. i will try belkin in the future.
charges everything extremely slow and is way too big for what it does. and it definitely does not charge at 65 watts which is clearly the biggest selling point. i have too many anker products failing after less than a year. i am done with anker.
the charger arrived not charging. no obvious damage on the exterior. had to contact amz then told to contact anker direct. i did it over messaging. it took three days to get a shipping label. the replacement worked like a charm and i had to returned the defective charger.
this is an incredibly poorly designed charger. the weight is such that it *will not* stay in most wall outlets – there's a reason the pictures all show this facing down. and if you use it with a travel adapter, there's no hope at all. buy a charger with a better design (ideally a plug with a wire.)note also that the warranty is 18 months for a reason: that's roughly the expected lifetime of the charger. mine promptly died 18 months after i bought it, and customer service said there's nothing they can do.very disappointing.
when all three lines are plugged in, the brick can't determine if a line is in use or not. so even when you want to charge 1 device, it's charged at the speed of 3 which is much slower. the usb-a port is extremely slow and basically doesn't work when another wire is connected. my samsung tablet registers that power is coming out, except that it's really slow and will essentially never finish charging. this notification only goes away when everything else is unplugged. this product doesn't work as advertised and therefore gets a 1-star review.
it was a good product up until last week when one of the ports stopped working. i tried plugging and unplugging the device. tried different charging cables. tried different outlets and it all led me to the conclusion that the device was not working. i then attempted to enlist the help of a customer service rep only to be met with extreme resistance. the representative has done everything in their power to be as difficult as possible and seems to be trying to impede me from processing my warranty claim. it is very distasteful and makes me not want to buy from anker ever again. if there is anyone who can help process my claim that would be very helpful.
i've had the product since 04/08/23 , and its been a decent charger in that time , but in the last 2 month's the electric prongs in the charger are failing.the attached video reflects the folding prongs have deteriorated to a point where one electric prongs is loose within the sealed housing and they no longer fold back into the housing together !now for the 2 anker customer service representatives i spoke to earlier !isreal , was the 1st , and with him 2 disconnections happened . he did call back once , we got to the question of the devices serial number , when i said i'd have to look it up , i got disconnected again , with no call back , this time !also , those of you who own this charger , should know what i experienced when i had to look for the serial number , and( its painted around the electric prongs surface , and written so small , you need a magnifing glass to read it , if you don't have 10- 10 super vision !!!the 2nd representative i spoke to , karen , got to taking my order number ,and email address , and then i got disconnected from her twice , after the 1st one , and she said , if disconnected again , she'd have my email address , and we could finish up via email .well that hasn't happened yet , and that was at 3 pm today and now its 4pm !!she's had plenty of time to at least send a contact email in the time , and it hasn't happened yet !so much for a company that supposes to pride itself in the products it creates and sells to the public !the product , and anker companies , customer service needs some re-evaluation , and some refinement , in serving the people who purchase their products !!
