so i got the t2 then the 2 50ft rolls both came messed up the company did replace very quick but man it's a headache once u have them up and just a couple don't work but i think it was on the shipping end as boxes were very damaged all and all the lights are great and bright and they stick very well too wall or cealing i'd do it again if i had to can't help shipping
i bought this for my daughter for christmas and she just got around to being able to put it up. i always check items i buy for damage when i receive them however i don’t open sealed new gifts unless there’s reason to. an item like this you’d expect to have new and unused since you can’t reuse it once it has been used.except she can’t, because this has clearly been used. it’s been cut already, the unraveled part has clearly been used because the sticky part is all messed up and the wall remote part that is supposed to stick to something other than a wall, has someone’s plaster wall stuck to it.i paid $72.00 for this …..i should be getting a new product. not one that can’t even be used.i am beyond livid.
i bought these previously, they stopped working after about a week. bought a replacement and this is how it showed up. tangled, wadded up in the box stuck to itself because someone had taken the paper off the back.
the lights arrived deffective. a strip is not working! we found out after we placed them on the wall! i do not feel like having my husband take them down.
pkg was open when received nothing inside wrapped in plastic it looked like a returned item . grandson put it up through away the box only hall of it lit up
i like the lights, however they came faulty and damaged, unfortunately i didn't realize until i installed the product (over 100ft). i made for certain it wasnt a user error, just a faulty connection which causes certain parts of the strip to not be able to produce a true blue color. i talked to a representative and my only options are either, ripping them up, shipping them back or buying them again, which, by the way $50 is pretty expensive, (they said they would fully refund the purchase however, with amazon it takes 2-7 days) and i only had the money to buy these because i used money from my birthday.trust me, you’d definitely do better to buy meevt, vivitar, or onn. don’t get govee unless you can buy what you want twice.
so these are mostly working as expected, however there is 1 thing that is extremely misleading with this product. i purchased these along with a coupling kit for clean 90 degree angles, based my purchase off the packaging of this product (i bought the couplers after i had recieved the lights), and to my surprise, the strips are actually 3 traces, not 4. you can clearly see on the photo of the packaging, and the packaging itself, 4 traces for the cut lines, but the strips themselves only have 3. very misleading, and i ended up wasting about $12 on couplers that wouldn't work. i couldn't find anywhere that it says its 3 or 4 traces. they work fine, but i'm pretty annoyed i based a purchase off of govee's misleading packaging.
i think this company has alot going for it. i do plan on purchasing more down the line.however this review is telling of my experience buying this product through amazon. upon inspection the box was opened and the cords decently arranged. the govee sticker on the reel of leds ever so slightly pealed back. powered them on, cool we were good to go.it took six hours to run this thing through a series of tunnels and curves only to find when you stand back, yellows, greens and whites were not consistent throughout. you could select all white and colors would fade in the last 13 feet to yellow and even orange. therefore greens, yellows, whites, and oranges all show inconsistencies. what's weird is. if i put the whole line on solid red through app and turn the last 13 feet to white. that 13 feet of white is strong and solid. no fade. so i'm assuming the controller was bad and it was returned. then resold to me. so thanks for that.
if i could, i would’ve given it a 0. i should’ve went with my gut when buying this. i saw so many reviews about the adhesive but ignored it. the adhesive is so bad, it’s as if the moment i put it on my wall it world stick for 1 minute then fall off. i tried to get my moneys worth by using double sided tap to help it stick into my wall, it held off until right now. (5:30am) it became my last straw and should’ve known the malfunction of the led the moment i saw the damaged packaging. if it would be actually alright with govee to give me a replace one with a better adhesive because this is a waste of money.
