brought this holder because of the reviews. i honestly gave to say that i did see the review where the reviewer said their vent broke when using this holder, i had hoped that was the exception instead of the rule. i used the holder, which seemed to tighten and hold my cell phone, i was being careful not to over tighten because i was afraid my vent might break. after a few minutes the holder would loosen dropping my cell phone down so i could not see it. once when it did that my daughter thought it just needed to be tightened a little more, i was informing her not to tighten it to much when we heard the crack. yep, my vent broke, i had to look on ebay for the used vent because my car is older, 2001 nissan pathfinder, $150. my recommendation is to buy something that won’t attack to the vent and give you the features you want. would like to have returned it, but we have been dealing with my son hospitalized and eventually having surgery on the 19th. my return expired on that same day. giving it one star because the few minutes it did work, it seemed like a good purchase.
