the backpack has the little white seal on the zipper, but was missing the two emergency blankets and the first aid kit. i called ready america and they would not send items... would have to send entire back back to amazon. very poor quality control and even worse customer service. i do not recommend based on that. you do not know what you will or will not get and have to hassle with return for couple items.
first review ever... ordered 2 of these backpacks. received both today, both missing light sticks, gloves, dust masks, tissue, emergency communication plan. all that was in the bags were the ponchos, blankets, first aid, food and water. at least the food is up to date.
did not contain all the items on the packing list. bag was secured with a zip tie, but the masks and gloves were missing. the person packing the bag had crossed them off on the tag on the bag. see the photo.
the bag is super tiny, more like a mini-backpack (ok for petite woman like myself, but not for others). disappointed that the first aid kit is missing and there is no opportunity to contact the seller. very much a starter kit, but will need to add supplements
i like it very much, but i was disappointed for not receiving all of the items that were listed in its description such as the gloves, one of the whistles, and the 12 water pouches (we received 8).
i receive this kit as a gift and it was missing items. i was told by manufacture that item was out of stock and was unknown when it was coming in. water was leaking and food was open. terrible kit.
this kit doesn't have it all but it has enough of the basics to get you started on building a good kit it was a great buy for the price of 40 bucks it would cost more than that to buy all the components separately elsewhere.
