although the instructions note that there a silicon insert to keep this plugged in, there isn’t any. i was just on a plane using it and it kept popping out of the socket. if it stays plugged in it does the job, barely
i bought this charger before and they have a rubber piece which helps it stay on to the wall that was not sent with this one. its so long when you plug it in the plugs backs out and its not charging. the new version is a terrible design.
beware: it looks like anker is selling 2 different products with the same model number. the product videos show a suction cup included. i bought 2 chargers and neither had a suction cup and the packaging is different.
this is a good to great adapter. it has a small footprint and is fairly powerful.the major flaw i see is the height and weight ratio leading to poor stability. i find myself frequently having to, if being used while i am actively using the item being charged, re-plug the charger in because it's slipped out of the socket. it's also not great--due to length and weight--when wall mounted for the same reasons. if the wall plug is not tight then it will have a tendency to sag or fall out entirely. a solution would be for it to have a ground prong that folded in.if you are using one of these i would suggest it not be something you use to charge items you are actively using and perhaps moving around with.
i purchased this charger to use when i travel. after only a couple of uses i started noticing the plug was not stable, it would wiggle and could easily unplug. i woke up several times to my devices not charged because the charger slowly unplugged and stop receiving charge. on my latest trip to europe, the product was useless, i had to add an adapter for european plugs to the anker charger and that was too much for the charger that it didn't hold inside the plug not even for a few seconds. i had to buy a new charger while overseas to keep my devices charged. i contacted anker and apparently my warranty expired 2-3 weeks ago and due to the strict warranty policies of anker, they can't help me. they instead offered me a 20% discount on a new anker charger... while i presume the 20% discount is potentially more costly for anker than simply replacing an old version of a charger. furthermore, it seems that the anker charger comes with a silicon stabilizer (apparently to solve my issue) but mine did not bring it. i asked anker to just send me that silicon stabilizer (i presume the cost of this is probably less than $1 for anker) but also the response from support is that because the warranty expired 2-3 weeks ago they can't help. for the most part i've been very happy with anker over the years, i've never had an issue in the past. however, it is good to know that the customer service is not as helpful as i anticipated because there are other vendors that do offer what i believe is a better customer experience. i now know to avoid anker in the future.
its not as compact in way of not interfering with other outlets on my 6 port wall adapter by apcdoesnt seem to fast change my phone, i have 3 oem chargers from low/mid range devices that are faster, that i didnt consider fast chargersdidnt come with wall plate as some reportprobably going to replace this with something capable
