not what i expected. i thought this product was a glass container with a plastic lid . not a complete plastic container. i am disappointed as i searched for glass in the search engine here in this site. i am returning this product. i felt something was wrong when the package felt lighter than it should for glass. overpriced for this product. if i were looking for an all plastic storage container this would have gotten maybe another star.
i've bought 2 sets of these, one set for my daughter and the other for my house. because i love rubbermaid products... they say freezer, dishwasher and microwaveable... they are not!! i now no longer have any of the 2nd bigger pieces left... they crack and break.. ny daughter only has half left.. these are not worth the purchase!! i'm so disappointed!!!
here is the lowdown on these crappy containers. i regrettably purchased these six separate times totaling about $325.00. they are nice at the start but turn to junk quickly. i bought a bunch of them thinking i had made a good purchase.i will comment based on the words used to describe them by the manufacturer,designed to be leak-proof – they were in fact designed to be leakproof – and they are for about a year of normal use.great for grilling, tailgating, holidays, meal prep, and more – the best part of this feature is that when doing one of the stated activities, you can rest assured that if someone walks off with one, it will disappoint them even if it was free to them.stackable for easy organization – they do stack, the lids don’t but the containers do, so half correct?stain and odor-resistant – this is simply not true. they stain and they can stink. all of mine are either have a white frosting on them like you get with old car headlights or are stained from various foods. don’t even think about getting curry near them. that’s an endgame,no-mess microwaving – i don’t know what this means. they have lids so things don’t splatter. yay.crystal-clear design – they arrive crystal clear, that much is true. they won’t be for long.leak-proof – they are, when they are empty or not movingmodular – i don’t think that the person who called them modular is fully aware of the term.portable – yes. they can be transported. i mean, they will be shipped to you.durability – the worst aspect of these containers. i stored away my old rubbermaid stuff and have now put it back into use because most of these are now cracked, stained and unusable.i do not understand why these reviews tell stories about how they reminisce about happily running through the grass in grandma’s back yard or some other whimsical anecdote. is that the key to getting free stuff? you write good reviews and companies send you things if you write a glowing review?
misleading description -- the product description mentions glass, but these are all plastic. i'm trying to reduce my plastic exposure, so this was frustrating.
i opened up the new tupperware to wash everything before i put it away and i noticed one of the items and lid had scratches on it like somebody had used it before and i was very disappointed if i wanted used i would have bought it used.
description lists materials as “crystal, glass, plastic” in that order. there is no crystal or glass - sadly, everything is cheap, bendable plastic here. very disappointed - and amazon’s choice!
these are in the first row when you search for glass tupperware. they actually have nothing to do with glass. they are made of plastic. however, the description says they are glass-like in that the plastic is see-through, and the description erroneously list glass as one of the materials.these have nothing to do with glass! remove the word glass from the description and materials list! it cost amazon money and produced unnecessary greenhouse gas emissions shipping these to my home to then have to return them for free when discovering upon opening that the description is completely misleading.
at the start these were amazing containers, i bought several sets and was very satisfied with them. they are supposed to be dishwasher and microwave safe and are most importantly supposed to have a lifetime warranty as described by amazon. after about a year i started to notice the cracks and splits on the pictures shown. i finally called rubbermaid and spoke with a very rude representative who not only told me that there is no such thing as a “lifetime warranty” she told me that purchasing rubbermaid from amazon is the equivalent from purchasing from ebay….who knows what you’re getting. she said that up until this year there existed a one year warranty from date of purchase but as of this year, 2024 that has gone down to 120 days….a fraction of what their “real” warranty is. as expensive as these are, if they aren’t going g to hold up to the as advertised “microwave and dishwasher safe” why would you even bother? i am severely disappointed as i really liked these containers but if they are falsely advertised whether that be amazon’s or rubbermaid’s fault then what’s the point in spending the extra money when inevitably they’ll fall apart?
don't be fooled. in the description, materials are described as crystal, glass and plastic. the containers are made of plastic. they are very nice and i will keep them, but i thought i was ordering glass, based on the descriptive information. my 3-star relates more to amazon's misleading description than to the product itself.
i am not returning because they are nice but i purchased because i was looking for glass containers and the description clearly says glass/crystal/plastic
i have their 4.7 cup containers, which i love. i was looking for something a little bigger. this comes with 3 containers. my 4.7 cup containers came with 4. this states the capacity is 7 cups which is exactly what i was looking for. i had no use for the inserts which was fine. i just wanted the 7 cup containers. the containers are not 7 cups as stated. i'm going to guess that they are 7 cups combined? one seems to be their 4.7 cup size. i have no idea what the others are and what i'm going to do with them. for me this was a complete waste of $47. they need to state that the 7 cups is a combined value, or maybe they should state what size each of the containers are. i am not happy with this purchase.
