i originally got this to pair with a 100w foldable solar panel to use on the beach. the problem with that is, all of my 100w panels output at 5a, where this generator has a max input of 2.4a. i may cautiously try it, we'll see. the inluded wall charger is only 36w, so it takes a very long time to charge this large of a battery bank (75000mah according to the literature). the manual is scant on technical details, but the product page does mention that it has a bms built in, over voltage/current protection, and overload protection. it does have an 'intelligent' fan that only comes on when the unit gets warm enough. the display is not of much use other than to display battery charge (not in percent - just with bars), and which outputs (ac/dc) are turned on. in other words, you don't know the amount of current coming in or going out. it is a true pure sine wave inverter and i read just over 111vac at the outlets. it has 4 usb outlets, but they are all usb-a. at this price point, i think it wouldn't be asking for too much to have at least one usb-c. comes with a dc5521 to auto lighter adapter as well as a auto lighter charging cord. the light is on the opposite side of the display and has one brightness level, strobe, and sos. bright enough to light up a tent or to change a tire in the dark. as far as performance, it will power a 12v mini fridge for 8-10 hours if it's pre-cooled on ac, and a mid-range laptop for about 4 hours. it is light and compact, so that's a good thing. i don't hate it, but i wouldn't get another one, either. there are more feature-rich options available in the same price range. the current promotion ($80 off) puts the price more in line with what it should be without a promotion. it has potential, but still needs some refining. 3/5 stars.
