i installed them on the back side of of 2' x 6' ceiling cloud in a recording studio. i don't see the lights directly, just the glow of them on the ceiling. the ceiling is painted dark, and these lights barely illuminate. with a white ceiling they would likely be more effective. everything else about them is great.
they are not laid out from beggining to end. the power cord is in the middle, and feeds two separate 50ft rolls outward. you can not cut and splice to make it work. immediately ruins what you cut off. very little value in my opinion because there's no way to make it work in my double tray ceiling.
i've had these led lights for some time now recently got a new phone downloaded the app everything was working fine and then the phone did a update and now the app will not link to the the lights anymore i cannot control the lights at all with my phone i have to use a different device if you have android 13 on any of your devices do not buy this brand
i bought 3 of these. so far 2 of the 3 stopped working. i tried support first, and it took over a month for someone to respond to my issue and all they said in the response was to try and reset it. the colors are also way off. not worth the money.
gotta love how the suggested accessories for this can’t actually be used for these. any ic led strip can only be cut to end a sequence. they can not be rejoined using pin connectors. i repeat: these can not be cut in the hopes to start a different row. the manufacturer should clearly state that these can not be cut. instead they leave it up to the buyer to figure out on their own. essentially you just have one (or two depending on length bought) rows of lights and that’s it.
i love the fact that they work(ed) with alexa. my cat got a hold of these lights and it was all over though. these are cheaply made and very flimsy and you will be able to tell. amazing for effects but keep these out of reach from children and pets. not good quality. spend a bit more and get hue strips since they are so much stronger and durable. there is a reason they’re more expensive. highly recommend if you are mounting ceiling. do not let kids or pets near them.
after 2 days half of the lights were on the ground because they wouldn’t stickthe lights are good and it does what they say but you need tape or something to keep them on the wall
these can not be cut or connected. i would have bought the cheaper version by a different company if i would have know this prior. now i have a large section of the wall without lights and i’m not buying more because they’re expensive.
purchased these with the suggested connectors. didn't work. found out the suggested connectors were 4 pin. these are 3 pin. purchased 3 pin connectors and it still didn't work. turns out these can't be clipped. waste of money. huge waste of money.
