not what i expected. cubes are tiny. they are wet and when i put them into the freezer they became one big hunk of ice. very difficult to break apart. i returned it.
at first, this icemaker was doing a lot of ice in a few hours. now it only does very few ice, sometimes after 5 hours waiting. all the ice cubes are very small and melt quickly.
the ice cubes are so small they melt within 2 minutes. this is another piece china junk. the screws were fallen out of the bottom as soon as i removed from box. returning tomorrow to amazon.
does its job of making ice. however, the collection bin is small which requires creativity if you want to fill up more than 1 bottle of ice. fits well on the counter and is not overly loud for a counter top ice maker.
sizing says it's 11.57d x 11.42 w x 8.74 h; actually, they are 11.57d x 8.74 wide x 11.42 high; higher than i wanted, due to height space.guess i need to figure out a different location or i'll have to return it.
i got this because i wanted to start using better filtered water for my ice than just my fridge’s water filter. it does make ice pretty quick but the ice melts real fast in the bin and is very soft. the ice also gets “snagged” when dumping into the bin so that it thinks the ice bucket is full. so you have to constantly help get the ice over the sensor line to get into the holding area so that it will continue to make ice, otherwise the sensor will be blocked and it’ll be fooled into thinking the ice bin is full. so that’s annoying and why this maker really is only for a household of one person. i ended up giving it away after a month and bought the big and expensive ge opal. so far much better volume and no problems with me having to help it.
when i received the ice maker it had a small dent in the back of the ice maker and the legs were uneven and the ice maker didn't sit properly on the countertop and tilted on one corner but my complaint was that the ice was very wet coming out of the tray and when used in drinks of any kind they would become water down very quickly, if you tried to collect a zip lock bag of ice so to have it ready in the freezer because of the ice coming out wet it would freeze in a block which had to slam on the counter to try to break it up, also i always use bottled water the same as i always use for my regular ice trays and when used the ice from the machine it had a bad taste to it where that never happened before with my regular ice trays, i was really looking forward to this ice maker since my freezer does not have an ice maker and just very disappointed that it did not work as expected...going back to my ice trays and happy to do so...
the machine appears well made and simple to use, but if you are expecting ice cubes, this is not the maker for you. the machine produces small, hollow, tube-shaped ice. a call to euhomy customer service to explain why the machine does not produce ice cubes (as stated in machine instructions) produced a prompt thank you, but no further explanation.
in all the years i have been using amazon i have never had issues until 2024. this is the second time in two months that u have been shipped incorrect or non working items. i had no instructions i'm this package and it had clearly been opened. the ice maker didn't work. i am so disappointed
it’s only one size of cube but has a hole in center and makes it easy to chew ! seems to go through water quite frequently. curious on how long this machine will last. set it up very easy.
i had an igloo counter top ice maker before. it lasted 6 years of 24/7 usage. this new ice machine is so small and built cheap. the ice scoop doesn’t even fit in the bottom of the ice basket. the basket is to small! i guess the perfect example of get what you pay for!
i needed to replace my silonn ice maker after 16mos. as the prongs were rusting. i replaced with this one and it is way to noisy for me and seems to make ice slower and have a smaller basket to hold the ice in. i think i will box this up and use it for a spare and go back to my nice quiet, 2 size cubes and bigger basket silonn.
