this product is acceptable for setting vertically into an outlet on a desk, but not good for horizontally plugging in. because it is too heavy to stay on the wall after settling it up horizontally. the center of gravity is biased toward the usb jack side, not the outlet side, so it naturally falls off the wall when plugged in. this is also too big to use in airplanes.
not all outputs are equal—learned the hard way when just my watch didn't charge because it was in the wrong usb-c outlet.smaller than a traditional mac charger but somehow sits more awkwardly in a wall outlet and the size/weight makes it feel very unstable and ready to fall out of the wall easily.
poor design too heavy not stay in outlet, even holder sent to correct not good design extremely heavy will not stay in outlet, even holder sent to correct not good design
anker is usually a great product to have i have many other products from anker however, this is not one of them. this i constantly falling out of the outlet with any little bump or slight pull on the usb c cable. it seems like it's too heavy for the prongs to hold it in the outlet properly. i would buy a smaller profile plug to utilize not buy this one. definitely wouldn't buy again
not a good product for travel. it’s shape and weight causes it to easily fall out of outlets or just lose contact. i love anker products but this is a design failure.
usb-c chargers work fine. cannot get it to charge 3 devices at once (iphone, ipad and apple watch). heavy and long, so the weight when plugged in can drag the charger down and out of older/more worn outlets. very dissatisfied.
i like how fast and efficient this charger is. however the design of a long shape and a “foldable” plug makes it very hard to stay in an outlet. i find that the weight of macbook charger, iphone and usb weigh down the block and it always falls out. this happens to me very often with different outlets. i keep having to replug the block in over and over since it keeps falling out due to its weight and size
charges everything extremely slow and is way too big for what it does. and it definitely does not charge at 65 watts which is clearly the biggest selling point. i have too many anker products failing after less than a year. i am done with anker.
it falls out of outlets and even though anker provides a sleeve to help with that, the sleeve does not fit on all outlets. i travel quite a bit and this device does not stay plugged in to airplane outlets.
i plugged a dell laptop into the laptop port on this charger, but the laptop has a warning message that says the charger is a lower wattage than original, and in windows it says the battery is slow charging even though the original dell charger that came with the laptop says it is 65 watts, this indicates to me that this charger isn't capable of 65 watts.it does seem to charge a samsung galaxy phone at full speed however and is a nice small compact size. another nice touch is the suction cup mount to hold the charger in the outlet so it doesn't fall out easily, although it is only useful if you don't have something else plugged into the same outlet
i have been loving anker chargers for many years. unfortunately, this specific model has given me tons of trouble. i have a macbook pro m1 that just won't charge well with this specific charger. my laptop won't recognize it sometimes, it will indicate that is plugged in but that it's not charging, and then it finally works after unplugging several times. in fact, if i turn the connector (usb c) in the other direction it really won't charge. also, if i plug the charger upside down it will not charge. that's when the box just starts getting hot for no reason. i truly believe anker should recall this product and do an improvement.by the way, i have many other chargers that can charge my laptop with no issues. not worth the $90+.
as many others have mentioned, this charger has issues staying seated in many outlets, especially universal outlets like the ones you find in planes and some airport lounges, which makes it not very useful for traveling.i really like anker as a company, and they have gone out of their way to try to make this right. they sent me one of the silicone gaskets to increase the surface area of the charger. it helps a little, but it's also kind of janky and negates the small size of the charger as a travel adapter.there is another hack you can do yourself. you'll need two needle nose pliers. if you use one plier to hold the base of the prong, you can use the other plier to bend the prong in. and you can do this on both prongs so it is more grippy in an outlet. you just want to be careful that the force is applied on the prong itself and not through the prong to the adapter, otherwise you'll break the adapter. this is why you need two pliers. this seems to be working so far, but i haven't traveled with the adapter yet to get a good sense on how it works in hotel/airport/plane outlets.otherwise, this is a fantastic charger, and i would have given it 5 stars. it's an unfortunate design issue, one that is probably not helped with the us outlet design. i will, however, continue to purchase anker products given their responsive support and overall quality of most their products
because the prongs are small this item does not stay in the outlet very well. their solution is to provide a rubber suction cup “gasket” with it.that would be fine if every plate was flat like it is at home however, my hotel rooms and on my cruise ship it has not been the case. very poor design.
i fly cross-country for work 75%+ of the time. space and weight are my primary criteria for whatever i take with me. while the features of this charger are perfect for my needs, after four trips cross-country trips i can’t justify the weight and size anymore.if your only priority is rapid, charging and flexibility in usb formats, this is a fantastic device that does what it advertises. if you have the same requirements i do, i guess we’re on the hunt together for a smaller, lighter charger.
i was hoping this charging block was something i could take with me places, but it’s longer than i expected and requires you to use a suction cup thing (provided in the package i got) that braces it against the plug so it does’t fall out of the socket. it’s impractical to carry the whole thing around because it’s pretty bulky. if i had known about that then i would have gone with another option.it does charge fast and have multiple ports, which i like.
i own multiple anker products and it is brand i like and trust, but this charger was a bit of a disappointment. i own multiple chargers from other brands (some no-names) and no charger including this one operates at their listed wattage. it could be expected from lesser known brands, but if anker asks for a premium price, they should honor their specs.735 charger (nano ii 65w) has two usb-c ports that are listed at 45w (port 1) and 20w (port 2) at two-port charging configuration. i tested with an iphone 14 pro max and galaxy a53 (both at 30% charge) using 100 watt pd cables and the usb-c gizmos for measuring wattage. iphone negotiates up to 24 watts in other brands and a53 charges at 18w max. when i plugged them into the two usb-c ports of this product, iphone charged at 20w and a53 charged at 18w which is not too bad, but still below the listed levels.the real disappointment was when i flipped the ports: it should not make a difference, but a53 went down to 13 watts! iphone stayed at 18 watts. this is simply not acceptable.i really like the small footprint and the light weight, but if i should put up with this kind of behavior, i don't see why i should pay a premium for anker products.
