bottom of package fell off and glow sticks fell out activating some of them. the little plastic piece to hold the ends together into a bracelet was hard to put on and i ended up activating several more during this process.
you have to put 3 together to get them to go around the kids heads, which is ok. but the couplers used to connect them are cheap and come apart easily which frustrates the kids when the try to take them off and twirls them around in the dark. couplers can also be a choking hazard! so if you have a baby that crawls. beware.
i bought these to hand out for halloween to the neighborhood kids. upon trying to assemble them i noticed that the connector would not hold the end pieces together. i would make a bracelet and it would quickly slip apart.as far as the brightness of the pieces it started out fine. it within 10 minutes the brightness faded quickly and they became very dim. i stopped handing them out early in the evening.
dimensions were exactly spot on. these are wrist sized (for a petite wrist) but do need a small tube (included) to attach the two ends.the sticks are understandably brittle - classic glow stick technology, cracking the stick makes it start to glow and it has a short lifespan. attaching the ends w/ the included small tube is tricky and the ends do not easily stay together due to how unbending they are at first. they can be worked into a circle but it takes effort.coupling more than one glow stick together to make them long enough for a necklace or other longer use is equally tricky for this same reason.another serious issue is that the small tube piece required to put them together is a serious choke hazard. i mean - suit guaranteed hazard. i handed the glow sticks out at halloween and quickly decided against the tube couplings.for a strait up glow stick - they work great, colors are vivid and they last long enough, in fact i put one in the freezer and pulled it out over a few days and it was brilliant.
