sometimes it falls asleep and i have to unplug it and plug it back in. it feels cheap. it arrived with little packaging and there was something loose rolling around inside.it's also a bit inconvenient to type fn+shift+~ to write a tilde, but maybe that's unavoidable for a mini keyboard like this.
keyboard looks great and build quality is decent but feels cheap by times. backlights is cold white , great and have diferent variations. colors and design is great but there are some quality conmtrol flaws. i got the white-black and orange, out of the box it came with white and black key. orange keys were packed in an extra bag wich is great but the miss is that the keyboard is a 60% so there is no number pad but orange keys included in bag include numb pad plus, minis, enter. those ma be like extras but will prefered to see key that can be replace in the keyboard. other downside is that the keyboard indeed is mechanical but it lacks of a spring that provide resistance to presure and key taping so key feel loose and whimpsy. for the pricepoint sure is a decent option but typing just feels like a toy.
tl;dr the switches are low quality. mine was damaged on assembly.my '6' key quit working reliably after a few weeks. i've since bought other keyboards and a soldering station, so after this sat for a year, i finally opened it up. when assembled, someone smashed the pcb at the 6 key location. i thought it must be a circuit issue, but no - turns out it was the switch itself. i soldered in a new red switch (i have extras from another board) and ran a wire for the rest of the leds on the row (7->ins).i lubed the stabilizers with gobs of lithium grease, taped the pcb and laid a little polyfill in the case. it's now a decent backup keyboard. it feels and sounds much better than the fancy rhymes-with-wagon keyboard i got my son for christmas last year. he puts a lot of mileage on his keyboards playing tf2, so i'm not sure this would hold up with these switches.
i will still be using this keyboard even though it does have some minor defects. a few of the keys are way looser then others and make a creaking sound when pressed, additionally the symbols on the keys aren’t very distinguished and a little blurry. plastic feels cheap but that was expected from a $30 keyboard, the keys seem smaller then those on any other keyboard i’ve had but i’ll get used to it. the backlight feature works great and is very responsive, decent clicking sound with the red keys.overall i would give it a 3.5 if i could. does what it’s supposed to do, not good or bad just meh.
