i purchased the 20lb weights. the neoprene coating on the handles had wire poking through the neoprene, so when i first picked them up (without noticing the wire) i cut myself in two places, one on each hand. one wire was so long, i used a wire cutter to cut it off. had to wrap the handles in duct tape to protect my hands.
not sure why there are these holes but will return if they appear to increase in size. i saw a few other reviews saying they had holes too.also grip is very large/wide for my hand (i’m 5’1 118lbs ). grips is not grippy. it’s slippery.my neoprene bolinger set is much much better made.price is good though. packaging was good as well.
i will not be purchasing any more exercise equipment from amazon- there are holes in the neoprene on the handles themselves and drip marks in the neoprene that are very palpable when holding them.
i bought the 20 lb and the 15 lb dumbbells and the 15 lb ones are great with no issue but the 20 lb ones came in a box that was severely smashed and there were gaps in the neoprene coating (pictured). it won’t effect the performance but it will effect how long they last.
