this is a poorly made crate. the closure is plastic. if you do not open it up exactly evenly, the top and the bottom do not open at the same time to release the doors. the way it is packaged, creates the item to have metal to metal where before even use. i would not recommend this product.
i bought this right before i moved to allow my pets to sit separate.the doors are not on the ends! one must attach to the side door, rendering the door useless! which means there’s not even a way to get a pet in and out of one of the components!useless! why would it be designed this way?!there need to be two end doors!i want a second door end piece. where can i find one??
the kennel is great (not that it's hard to make a kennel) other than an irritating squeaky door. the reason for the 2 stars is the base pan, one of the most important features after the door locks, doesn't hold liquid.i'm not entirely sure if i got a faulty pan but it almost seems to just permeate through the pan after dumping multiple water bottles on in the kennel. i thought at first my pup had somehow learned to lift her leg and urinate outside the kennel.just don't even waste your time honestly. it's so large it's hard to even return.
paint started chipping immediately once out of the box. side door is kind of janky. it’s working for now but i am unsure how long this door will continue to do its job. you have to be deliberate in how you pull the lock back or else just the top or bottom will latch, not both.
this cage would have been great except the doors swings the wrong way. it would have been easy (and normal) to construct the thing so the door could be swapped to open in either direction. heck, refrigerators give you that option. but not this wire cage. dumb, dumb, dumb. oh well . . .
so i can't lift the crate up because the metal on one side has been fused together so there's no opening it up so upset this cost so much been waiting so long now i have to return it wait for my money back than order another not happy with this at all
the door handle and latching mechanism are garbage. i’d have to imagine that you’d really hate this design if you have arthritis or other difficulties using your hands.
i like the size of the cage for a small animal, but i didn’t like the cage door was hard to open and close. it really gave me a headache because i had to fight with it each time i had to open and close the cage door. i will not order this cage again. also, putting it together with trouble.
this was insanely hard to open to get it together. i needed a screwdriver to pry pieces apart and ended up hurting my back. i finally got it together and put my dog in it. the door to the cage is bent but still opens and closes. it looks smaller than it says in the picture. i'm not so sure i'm gonna keep it. i've had these before and they were a cinch to very together. this was ridiculous. i do not recommend this brand. it's the same price as a better brand. next time i'll go with my gut. so much for giving the smaller guy a shot. nope!
there were some bent parts on the frame and the locking mechanism seems to be slightly bent and makes opening a pain. it will only let me upload one of the videos.
