my 15 month old got this for christmas and loved it. it was an indoor toy (we have hardwood on our first floor) and before we knew it, she was riding around just loving life. we took it out on the sidewalk maybe 5 times? well last week, she is riding it down a long hallway inside (shes now 19 months and very well versed on this bike!) while i'm cooking dinner and bam she makes a turn and a back wheel comes flying off, she tumbles to the ground (totally fine but scared + crying, rebounded quickly no worries). wtf? my husband, an engineer, is trying to put the wheel back on but it's not working. i looked and saw some other reviewers had a similar issue. shouldn't do this after only a few months of light use - hopefully the company can make it right!
not safe, my son plaid with this in occasion in out house and after a month the rear wheel fell off exposing tiny chokeable parts. when i looked at thr wheel there appears to be a screw at the end that goes into the bar but somehow it was sideways and could no longer connect to thr bar.
we got this bike for my son’s 1st birthday. it took him awhile to really get into it, but lately had been his favorite toy. he loved riding this bike and it was great for him. however, there is a single screw holding these two pieces together. it fell out causing it to come apart while he was on it and he hit his head on the handlebars as he fell. we tried to replace the screw, but it came loose again. we worry about it happening to him again if he tries to ride it, so we will avoid using now. super bummed because he loved it and was getting so comfortable riding it :( wish this design feature was different.
my son used this for a couple of months and it was great. it recently broke in half and he fell while riding it. he is 20 months and weighs well under the weight limit. it was great but the danger does not outweigh the design flaw.
my daughter isn’t two yet, certainly hasn’t abused this or ridden it hard, but sure enough riding through our house, a back wheel popped off and she came crashing down.. not sure why it inscrewed and popped off, but definitely a safety hazard. not sure if but this again or recommend anyone doing so. :(
my grandchild loved this balance bike for a minute or two, then it tipped over when she tried to turn. she got up and tried again, but almost every time she tried to make a turn it dumped her on the floor. after several of these spills, we put it away and have not gotten it out again.
i was so pleased with this balance bike, we purchased it 11 months ago and just used it inside the house. today my 18 months old was driving it and it broke with him on it. he felt and his the back of his head. i can’t tell where is the only screw that hold it together. i wish it was build stronger.
trying to find a way to contact seller. this was a gift given to our 1yr old and this evening as he started the ride it the wheel fell off. trying to find a way to replace this because no amount of placing the wheel back onto the axel has solved the issue. it's been great up until now and he loves it so much. downside is this happened 4 months into using it :(
it was very easy to install. but the issue i have is my one year old rides it but he feet comes under the wheel. my son is pretty tall but as of now struggling to ride it. overall a great gift.
this was such a fun gift to watch my kids play with. it’s well made with no risk of scratching up the floor.however after just a few days, one of the wheels just came off and was not able to be reattached to the bike properly. a bearing on the inside of the wheel kept falling out and since this piece was a choking hazard, we had to toss it out.
we bought this in november for christmas and it lasted us up until today. the wheel not only fell off, but the baring that holds the wheel together came off. so now here we are desperately looking for a small little piece of metal or a magnet so our kids don’t choke on it. do not buy this cheap piece of cr*p. it will not last you half the year.
the bike handbar and seat aren’t adjustable on this model; it makes the bike quite limited as your (my) kid outgrows it fast!another pain point is that the wheels are beefy requiring the kid to have their feet far out on the side or else the back wheel will hit their heels and stop the bike movement.other than this: it feels sturdy and is easy to mount. the look is great. wheels spin easily. etc.
updating one more time: i was able to get in touch with the company and found a resolution for my issue. i'm still a bit bummed that the bike didn't last very long but am pleased with the response time from the company.//i'm unfortunately updating this review. we've used this bike for just over a month and it has broken on us twice. where the handle bars and the body connect the screw comes loose and causes them to separate. this last time my 18 month old even got a fat lip from falling. i'm not sure this bike was built to last or even with constant use, which makes me so sad because we did love it.//we got this bike for our 18 month old who wants to ride balance bikes but is too small for the ones we have. he absolutely loves it. it's a great height for where he's at and i think is a great starting point to help him learn how to balance and ride (so it will be an easier transition to an actual balance bike).
barely had this for less than 2 years and the handlebars grew mold. we tried to wipe it off, but because of the material on the handlebars, it would not come off. very toxic for our 2 year old twins!
we got this as a gift in december 2022, then yesterday, june 2023, the bike is 6 months old and in great condition, my 18 month old baby likes it, but, he was alone with in in this play area for a few minutes and i came back to find he had taken apart the section near the handle bars, it’s a plastic disk and a metal bar. without it the hole it covers has metalparts yes that are sharp and dangerous, the parts that came off it are dangerous. i don’t know how he took it apart but he did. it does not go back together. i wouldn’t recommend this toy. it’s cute and my kid likes it but this is not safe.
cute bike but it’s very easy to get a defective or bad product. first one came with dents all over the seat which i thought was weird. front pieces also didn’t snap in and align well. we returned for a new one and while the seat is better, now the wheels look discolored and have black dirty spots on it. wtf. the instructions are also quite vague. it’s very easy to install the front wheels incorrectly. doing so will make the bike tilt when turning and will cause your little one to fall off. unsure if we’re keeping this.
when the steering wheel on this bike is swiveled to either side the back wheel come off the ground and the whole bike tilts making it extremely likely to tip. my child falls over pretty much any time she tries to turn.
