this case has padding everywhere you don't need it and nowhere that you do. specifically, the corners and edges have a sort of inner ridge but no padding so that if you drop your laptop at anywhere near vertical, this case will give you next to no protection.making the design even worse it that the storage pockets on the sides have no expansion room built in, so anything put into the storage pockets pulls the case edges tighter against the laptop inside and reducing protection even more.this case has one job and does it poorly. it'll keep a laptop from getting scratched but that's about it.
decent top and bottom padding but the seam around the computer, and especially the corners, these are not padded. this is not an isolated case as several different designs are all sewn the same way, 0 foam on the edge.i would not advise this as a purchase.what i do like is that the pockets on this feel functional and purpose driven. a good size for power bricks, mouse, phone and maybe even a small mouse pad.sadly this is a heavy product that doesnt actually pad the computer from 360 degrees of potential 'abuse'
