i purchased this case a while ago. i was very disappointed, because while it did fit very well, they sent me the wrong color and had a small rip on the inside. since i really needed protection for my laptop, i ended up keeping it, but i am leaving a one-star because products should always be checked before sending. i was going to re-purchase a black one instead, but decided there was no need to spend more money due to being unsatisfied with the product received.
disappointed with purchase, as it was intended to be for a new hp pavillion-16, which contrary to what is stated in the item description, does not fit.the rounded corners of the sleeve reduce the actual internal volume space to the point that the laptop width and length doesn't fit properly all the way to the flat edges and extends beyond the path of the zipper.there is insufficient wiggle room to try a snug fit without risking damaging both, the laptop and the zipper of the sleeve.i am keeping it anyways for the older 15'6 hp laptop this new 16 is replacing.
it's a decent case for the money, but it provides very little impact protection on the corners since there's only a fairly thin layer fabric and very little neoprene there. it will definitely protect your laptop from scratches, but even a short fall onto the corners will leave your laptop damaged.
i was trying to find a sleeve that was a cooler tone purple (more blue than red), and from the listing pictures this looked to be the winner. unfortunately not, it's much warmer in person, and no different tone than other purple sleeves i tried. it's hard to get the tone on my phone, but in the pic i uploaded if you look around the bottom edge, that is the true color.also arrived dented, which is kinda meh for a new item. some of the dents do go all the way through to the inside, so it makese wonder how well it would protect.anyway, since the color is not what i wanted and it's very average otherwise, i will be returning it. there are better ones out there, even in the category of plain and simple sleeves.
for the price, this cover is pretty good. i use it everyday in college. it doesn’t really have any protection padding around the corners, which is kind of what you need for a laptop case when it’s in your backpack. already had a little break on my new laptop because of it. the smell does go away after a while though.
instructions said to air out for 2-3 days to remove odor. i'm on day 4 and it still stinks. if it doesn't stop smelling by day 7, i will return it. not going to take any chances with it ruining my leather laptop bag.
it's a bit large for my 13 hp 360 pavilion, seems a bit baggy on it. also, it got a bit dirty so i attempted to wash it. bad idea to say the least. nice large rip in the top which left a bunch of black gunk in my washer.
product was damaged when i received it. it fits great on my computer which is an hp and is a durable case but came folded in half so there is a permanent line or crease and it is smashed in the left corner so it has the indent and shapes of whatever package was on top of it before it got shipped to me. came in nice big box and came fast though
i just got the sleeve and it came folded. it has a permanent mark on the sleeve and it bends by itself. it also has a very strong smell. it is supposed to be brand new but came in bad condition. don't risk it. save your time and money and get yourself a better one.
