if charged from the wall this is a very good power bank. charges the phone several times. but the solar charge is so weak it's basically pointless. left it unfolded charging in full sun for almost 8 hours, and it was enough to give my phone 10% charge. also it often overheats when left in the sun and stops working. so good power storage when charged from the wall, extremely poor solar performance.
this is essentially a battery bank and that's all you'll get out of it. the solar panels for me in direct sunlight for multiple days only achieved powering the little blue leds to tell me that the power bank has stayed at the exact charge i left it at. also seems to have an overheating issue if exposed to sunlight for more than an hour or so on a warm day. does not fast charge at all, takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge a 3500mah phone with a short fast charging capable charger. for fun i tested my 10foot cable and well, takes about 3-4 hours. i can get about 4 charges on my phone before it need charged again so that's a plus.
i have been using this solar power bank for a few years, and it does charge to full capacity in a few days. however, the user must ensure that it is not charging in a hot space (i guess it shuts down when it overheats as a safety measure), and the three additional panels attached to the battery have stopped contributing to the charging effort. my guess is that one of the wires between the panels and the battery has broken as a result of the folding and unfolding of the panels. so, i would recommend this product as a part of an emergency kit or when travelling in an area without available electricity.
unit was charged with ac power once. charged cell phones a few times, then a couple of times charging cell phones in the sun (fairly quickly...) after that it would not charge its battery in sun (even for hours). then noticed it was over heating (all 4 blue indicator lights blink on off together for 15 minutes...??) every time in the sun...?? once over heated it would not charge cell or its own battery...??!?!?
the fact that when you go to recharge this using the sun (solar), it gets hot. then it overheats and starts flashing and won’t recharge because it’s too hot and needs to cool down out of the sun first. it’s a catch 22. you have to use the usb plug in cable to charge it. poor design.
