initially, i was so excited for this product.i lived the fact it was portable as to travel to a party, did nit take up alot of storage or counter space, and was not very loud.the ice was made fairly quickly. i loved the shape if the ice, but it melted very quickly once place in with a soda.the surface area was very easy to clean and the instructions were very easy to follow.i am returning this product because of the quality of the bullet ice (not very thick walls of the ice) and it does not keep it cold enough to leave the i e in the dispenser and use randomly during a party.
love the color, and how fast it makes ice, however the ice melts really fast and that sucks. it also has a scooper but doesn’t have a compartment to store it so it takes up space in the ice tray. its a good buy but i honestly wouldn’t pay over $50 for this, even though i actually paid $90
so it will make it's 9 lil barrel shaped hollow cubes in 6 min and this is even with just regular temp water, its not very quiet..even with the sound i would have given this a 5 star rating if it wasn't for 1 thing. there is no cold storage area to store the ice and it's not even an insulated machine, the ice cubes are stored 1\4 inch above the water storage and they aren't separated, the ice basket is shaped to sit right above the water line. this is not something you can leave on you counter running.. with my basket about 3/4 full i noticed significant melting of the bottom cubes so they are just gonna melt and the water will drain back into the water storage and get used again.. and again.. and again. after running for about an hr (i kept dumping ice) the stored water was only cool not cold so the closest icecubes retain that warmer temp and melt.because of this it's a pretty useless machine. i'm really trying to under it's purpose
this little machine makes very wet ice. what i mean is that when it spits the ice into the tray, it's wet. it then creates clumps. also, there is not cold storage. so if you wait for a full tank of ice to make, half will be melted and you will be lucky to break the rest up into actual cubes. i have to be by it to throw the ice into a freezer as soon as it's made and pray it was frozen enough.
if you need ice to be constantly being made this works. but if you’re trying to make ice to store for later i wouldn’t recommend. it doesn’t keep it cold enough so if you don’t put it in the fridge between each batch it starts to melt. i do like that it melts into the water it uses to make the ice.
