there is no way this machine will make 25lb of ice in 24 hours. it makes about 6lb in 24 hours. the other problem with the machine is you have to baby sit the machine and empty the hopper after every 4-5 cycles of ice making. if you don’t empty it will stop making ice. the ice is small but it’s ok. we are disappointed in the ice production, it’s no where near the amount we anticipated.
we bought this about a year ago, but only used it probably 10 times. at first, it was great, but the more we used it, the less it worked. now we have to troubleshoot every single time to get eight ice cubes. it really stinks to work so hard for everyone we earn, save up to buy this, and only be able to use it a handful of times. i’m going to attempt to contact the company and will update you here. we need a replacement.
i like the size and ease of using the machine. it doesn’t take long to make the ice. the only thing i am not super happy with is that you can’t leave the fresh ice cubes in the tray for any length of time. as soon as they drop you need to transfer them to the freezer.
