i've purchased these before and needed more so i bought again. i was shocked when i put a pair on today and there was no difference to the words i was seeing. took me a minute to figure out the lenses are just plastic. no magnification to them. i am out of the return window so am disappointed.
these glasses are well made and decent quality for the price. however, unlike other reviews that state the magnification is limited to just the bottom portion of the lenses, the lenses i received have the magnification throughout the entire lens. this renders them pretty much unusable for people like me who wear contacts for nearsightedness but need magnification for things like reading. having the magnification present in the entire lens interferes with my distance vision/prescription and makes any kind of transition between the two difficult and uncomfortable. since these glasses are designed to cover the entire eye area there is no way around the difficult transition, either. i was hoping to be able to wear these consistently while working and be more comfortable than wearing the traditional end-of-the-nose style readers, but i guess i will have to keep searching.
