overall, this keyboard functions pretty well given the price and it's a solid budget option. however there are some small mistakes that i think need sharing.1. the backlight doesn't evenly shine through on some keys (as seen in the capslock and left shift keys in the images attached)2. the extra included keycaps (red ones) don't have translucent letters on them, meaning they will not light up. not a huge deal just something i noticed.3. the included tool used to take the keycaps off will not fit in the space above or below the key if the key is on the top or bottom row, making it pretty inconvenient to take those keys out. (see image 3)4. some keys look different than they do in the pictures. for example, the shift and enter keys have arrows next to them on the real keyboard but in the listed pictures, they do not. all the keys with these discrepancies include: both shift keys, enter, tab, capslock, page up, and page down.5. the kickstand feet make the keyboard very slightly wobbly. i have tested this on multiple flat surfaces and it only wobbles when the feet are up. note that it does not wobble constantly, rather only when slight pressure is applied to the top right or bottom left corners of the keyboard. (such as pressing backspace or left ctrl)6. last thing, (very petty) the font appears to be different on the real keyboard as opposed to the font in the pictures. i couldn't find either of the exact fonts used, but when comparing the images side by side the difference is clear.all that being said the only thing that might be an issue is that the keyboard is pretty loud. however if you wear headphones most of the noise is reduced. i tested this with noise cancelling headphones and with noise cancelling off, and i can say that it's not a big deal. however if there is someone in the room with you it will probably annoy them. but hey, the keyboard only costs $30 and for that price it is pretty good. although i would strongly recommend just saving up to buy a higher end one.
after reading positive reviews from other users and videos analyzing this mk-box keyboard i decided to buy it knowing that for the prince and quality it would be a good fit for me. unfortunately while typing it makes an awful sound of metal springs you cannot ignore, especially when extending the two clips to increase the board angle it gets worse. this isn't my first mechanical keyboard so i'm aware how the product should perform. i wasn't expecting custom-made quality but that spring sound shouldn't happen. can the seller advice on how to fix this very unpleasant sound or did i get the wrong product?
i did like this product for its price i personally think it is amazing but if you’re looking for long-term, i would suggest a different keyboard. this one is very loud and sometimes randomly disconnects but if you’re looking for a cheap keyboard i would suggest this.
this keyboard is very loud, like comically loud! i am typing constantly for my job so i couldn't handle more than a couple minutes with this keyboard. i had to return it. other than that it was cute and a good size because i don't need the number pad, so i let it have another star. the price was ~$28 when i bought it, so i probably should have known better, but i am now using a keyboard my boyfriend bought for $30 so i expected more!
i didn't get to check this keyboard out much because the backspace, + and - buttons were rubbing against the chassis and making scraping noises, and made it harder to press backspace.pretty poor qa, probably, or maybe the chassis isn't big enough for what they're housing. i tried to pull the keys out and bend the chassis a little, but didn't really seem to fix all of the keys. ended up returning.
i recently purchased the magegee portable 60% mechanical gaming keyboard, and i can't express enough how disappointed i am with this product. it's a far cry from what was advertised, and every aspect of it screams cheap and subpar.first and foremost, the keyboard's appearance is a total letdown. the sleekness portrayed in the pictures is nowhere to be found in reality. the build quality is cheap and plasticky, making it look more like a child's toy than a gaming keyboard. the overall design lacks the refinement and elegance that was promised.the lighted keys are another huge disappointment. rather than emitting a cool and immersive glow, they look gaudy and tacky. the lighting effects are poorly executed and seem more like an afterthought rather than a well-integrated feature. it's as if the manufacturer tried to compensate for the lackluster design with flashy lights, but it only serves to highlight the keyboard's overall cheap feel.speaking of feel, the plastic keys are a nightmare. they lack any sort of tactile feedback or satisfying keystroke experience. instead, they feel flimsy and fragile, giving the impression that they might break after just a few weeks of use. the keys are also incredibly loud – and not in a good way. the obnoxious clicky noises they produce with every press are nothing short of irritating, making it impossible to use this keyboard in a quiet environment without disturbing everyone around.the overall performance of this keyboard is nothing to write home about either. key presses often result in missed or repeated characters, and the lack of responsive feedback only exacerbates the issue. for a so-called gaming keyboard, it falls flat on its face when it comes to delivering a smooth and reliable gaming experience.in conclusion, i regret every penny i spent on the magegee portable 60% mechanical gaming keyboard. its cheap appearance, tacky lighting, plastic keys, and deafeningly loud noises make it a prime example of false advertising and a waste of money. i strongly advise against purchasing this keyboard if you're looking for a quality gaming experience – there are far better options available on the market.
i disliked the lighting issue as the lighting makes it cool for those wondering there is no software and also the letters and number and other symbols on the keyboard doesn't light up fully there are difrent modes, and i liked how it came with a keycap puller it is not hot-swappable and the main feature i don't like is that i don't know if this only happens with my one but it randomly disconnects but to fix this re-plug it i wouldn't recommend this keyboard as there many better options for only 5 extra the clicks on the keyboard sounds satisfying on the blue switches though
overall it’s fine for your standard gamer but the stabilizers are 100% dry and the space bar, shift, backspace have rattle and sound shaky. but typing the switches sound fine but the key caps are something else, smudgy, and no texture. as someone who nerds out over keyboards i’m not a huge fan.
this is the most plasticky keyboard i've ever used. the feel is terrible, the sound is terrible, there's no reason to get this over other keyboards in the same price point that are widely available on the website. the plastic of the casing flexes with very little force, making it feel extremely cheap while typing.i'm far from a keyboard snob, but the switches are the worst i've tried yet, and theyre not swappable. they feel cheap and sound springy, the whole keyboard has a loud, hollow scratchy sound. a stock windows keyboard from goodwill would at least sound better than this. the fact that the switches are soldered down limits your ability to do anything about that, and leaves you out of luck if anything goes wrong in the unit.you can fully find similar keyboards at an equal or better price that have removable switches, that alone will take you much farther than this thing ever will. do not buy. i had it for an hour and decided to return it immediately.
the keyboard itself is nice and it works like it should but man… the keys are super loud. sounds like a typewriter. definitely can’t use for gaming because all people would hear would be my clicking
while searching for a wireless keyboard, this can't up as a top result. it is an excellent keyboard with a great feel, but it's definitely not wireless. i blame amazon and their crappy search box. adding more detail to a search makes the results more vague, the manufacturer never claimed it was wireless.anyway, good keyboard with long keystrokes and excellent feel, like an old ibm selectric typewriter. it has just the right amount of weight to it as well.it is loud, sounds like a keyboard from a movie. i can't type full speed in class, i have to type gently.there are some extra keys that come with it with in different colors, as well as a tool for pulling them off. they must be for gaming. i don't game on pc, i just wanted a good, fast keyboard for cad. the keys do light up in one color that cannot be changed, however brightness is easily adjusted after reading the 1/10 pages manual to find the right function key. the keys are individually lit and backlit, like a glow between them as well as the face. there are several different moving patterns of lighting as well, i keep it medium lot and solid. i'm boring.i like it a lot. would love it long time if it were wireless.
the keyboard work as perfectly fine. i never experience the slightest issue with the performance of the keyboard. however, there is one thing to note is very loud.
received the product with extra keys of orange color. however, some of the keys are for full size keyboards and not for the 50%. in short, some are too long when they should be short. in addition, i can't lock the functions keys as stated in the manual (fn + esc, 1, 2, 3).j it does work if i press fn and the corresponding key though.the backlight is ok, not very bright but usable. the keys are very loud so i wouldn't recommend using it when someone is around.
this was great for the price and overall a good first gaming keyboard. honestly, the only downfall to the product is the fact that its extremely loud and hollow/tinny sounding when typing. yes, i know mechanical keyboards make noise when you type, but they usually aren't that loud. my boyfriend could hear it from a room over. if someone had the time to mod it, the loudness wouldn't be a problem. performance wise though, a really nice keyboard.
