i love the mouthfeel (weird, but accurate) of the straw. it keeps water cold for plenty long enough. but that's where the good ends...the lid is not great. the button is hard to push and top is difficult to close. the handle gets in the way constantly and is better off removed.does not fit in any cup holders.worst part is the lid will break. look at other low-star reviews about buttons flying off or buying entirely new lids because owala doesn't stock the gasket parts separately. the plastic of my lid broke after 2 weeks and warranty people denied my claim. new lid is only $7 but really? it should last longer than a month. good bottle but durability is terrible.
had high hopes, but the lid is super fragile. my daughter dropped her one time and the lid broke. my son had a similar steel water bottle half the price and bear the heck out of it throughout last school year and it survived. this lasted 3 days out of the box from a low drop out of her bookbag.
was great for about a month till the button that opens the lid decided to randomly break. if they are going to charge that kind of money for a water bottle then they need a better design for opening the lid.one the plus side, it does keep water cold and is leak proof.
the reusable water bottle is sturdy and leak-proof, but the lid is hard to screw on and off. i bought it for hiking, but the difficulty with the lid makes it inconvenient to use on the go.
when pressing the button, the lid doesn’t flip every time. there is a catch and you sometimes have to open it yourself. not very convenient. pretty disappointed.
color is nice and bottle looks great however lid is so hard to close, not sure if that is intentional or product defect but careful when trying to close the top. if you don’t push down hard enough- it won’t close all the way. it feels like the lid gets sucks sometimes. bottle and desiring looks great but ease of use /convenience is not so great
i just got this water bottle and the button already broke off. i tried putting it back on but the lid won’t click shut on it. do they offer some kind of replacement or warranty?
i'm so disappointed. i loved this water bottle until about an hour ago. i pushed the little button to open the lid, and the button popped off. i got it back on, but it is lopsided. really disappointed in the quality! i have had it for four weeks.
i purchased this in may, but didn't take out of the box until july, when i was about to travel. that was a mistake. i am very dissapointed, since the lid is misaligned and won't stay on. worthless. i complained about it, but heard nothing back. won't buy from this brand again.
great size, love the sip/straw functionality, but if you close the lid with a carbonated beverage, when you open it, the lid spews liquid everywhere. it's fine for still beverages, but doesn't work at all for anything sparkling which is my main use.
i have only had this water bottle for about three months, and the other day the button broke. it literally flew off and hit me in the face after i opened the bottle. without the button, the lid cannot be closed. also ice melts almost immediately in this cup.
i bought this water bottle in january and i loved it. the built in straw feature was great. but a few months ago, the button latch flew off. i was able to reattach it to the spring so i hoped it was fixed. it started flying off or coming apart every time i used it. finally, one day i went to take a drink while driving and the button flew off. i searched everywhere in my car and was unable to find it. i filed a warranty claim with owala which was accepted. it took weeks for them to email me a voucher for a new lid. when i tried to order a new lid, they no longer carried the lid that went with my bottle. i found another lid, but it was out of stock. every lid was out of stock except for black and white ones! i signed up to be notified when the lid i chose would be back in stock. that was weeks ago and i’m still waiting. i’m leery of buying another owala product but am willing to continue using my bottle with a new lid to see if it lasts longer. customer service should make sure they fix the issue with the lids or keep more replacement lids in stock. i’m very disappointed with the product and owala’s customer service.
very good drinking experience but the product is not durable at all.got broken after few months of normal usage.the lid is connext d to the bottle with very small pins and as you can se they are not durable
