the build quality overall seems ok. i'm reviewing one with blue switches. the key material feels good and the click feedback is what i would expect from the name-brand blue keys.the only issue that i have is that two keys: r and u, fail to register a keystroke about 5% of the time. if i gently press the key until it clicks, it doesn't register about half of the time. i pound on the keyboard so it doesn't register about 5% of the time, which does slow me down quite a bit as i write a lot for my job.the other issue is that the u key, in addition to not registering about 5% of the time, also double-types a u, also about 5% of the time. on average, every other paragraph will be missing an r, a u, or will have uu where it should be one u. it's just annoying enough that i can't use this keyboard for my job. i wanted to switch to a keyboard with blue switch keys but these flaws get in my way too much. i am occasionally hooking it up and pounding away hoping that over time i can break in the two keys (that i've noticed) don't work well.it looks sharp, sounds great, and has a great price, but i couldn't recommend it to anyone who uses a keyboard.
my number two key had issues registering out of the box. it only got worse, i cleaned, resoldered, and practically everything other than replace the switch itself. for a keyboard with 60% of the keys i would hope they'd all work. really sucks.
its ok its not hot swappable and for just 20 dollars more u can get a really nice keycron c3 pro (after a while a few keys on my board started to fail like the f key and the 2 key where it wouldn't register then after a bit type the letter or number like 3 times)
okay let's make this quick. i thought that i'd like this keyboard, and i really did try to like it. it's a good price, nice build, and the colors pop. but the only complaint, and it's a rather big complaint, is that sometimes the keys just do not register. spacebar isn't keying is all the time along with other keys. big problem, considering it's a keyboard.so with that said, i give it 3/5
***update***i'm now 7 months in on this keyboard and the key failures are getting progressively worse. now the left shift, x, 3, and comma keys all work sporadically. i had to hit each of them multiple times to get them to register to write this review. i'm dropping my star rating from 4 to 2. i cannot recommend this keyboard.***original review***size is a great balance between packable for travel and comfortable for typing/gaming. the working keys are responsive and feel great for typing. i do wish it included some non labeled keycaps with the alternate color as i use a non-standard keybinding for movement which makes my keyboard look weird with letter keys in the wrong place.the only major issue i have is the comma key switch is failing. i have to hit it multiple times to get it to register a key-press which is annoying when i'm typing. since this does not have hot swap keys, it's going to be a pain to fix.
