photoshop can do wonders, but please do not, i repeat do not, throw away your money on this so call survival kit. let's begin by saying that all materials used to build some d rings, lamps, are cheap, and bad quality. the shovel and the pair of pliers are no longer than 6 inches each, the other ones are lesser than 6 (a toy). i won't call it shovel, it is a gardening tool that can easily be used by grandma to plant flower out in the garden this spring. the compass sometimes points north sometimes south is a water fill but it has a mind of its own; if you want to get lost and never be found, most definitely by all means use it. but absurdly as it sound it is not close to be accurate. the little led lamp is build with bad quality plastic, you can tell by touching it.for those who has used real survival tool in the past this is an arm robbery. this kit will not save you from nothing, trust me it will break down on the very first use, if you really are the type of person that goes out into to the woods and get dirty. every tool in this set includind the shovel is no longer than 6 inches long, no trenches can be dug with this gatdening tool.go to sites like major surplus survival store online and there you will find real tools, the kind of tools used by our troops, made to last forever. and nop i am not getting paid for the ad, it is just that i work hard for my money and it hurts when someone take you for a child and rob you on your face. manufacturer get your act together you must change the way you do business, the concept in itself make sense but for god sake turn it into real combat-end of the world tools that real people can use in case of an emergency. what you are selling here is a crappy tool set. at this time i dont know what to do if i should either return it which in turns it will cost me more or either believe that i went out last night and got wasted and spen the money in drink, and right after that throw this wonderful set where it belong in the trash can, and pretend i had a nightmare when i wake up tomorrow.this product has zero stars for me.p.d. this is my first review in 10 years as a full time customer. i was hoping for a good product, but in the end everything is part of this vicious cycle.
it's a very small bag, and if you take stuff out, it is almost impossible to put it back. the tools are very small - i was ready to return them. very dissapointed
this is not a survivalist bag.this is a good start to have redundancy. two is one and one is none.4 whistles.3 knives.1 shovel.3 or 4 saw blades (multi-tool, shovel, credit card sized thing).the first aid kit is a very basic first aid kit; it has bandaids, safety pins, iodine prep pads, a triangular bandage, a small pair of scissors quality of those found in travel-size sewing kits.1 mini lantern (smaller than a tiny woman's hand).1 spork (has a knife and whistle).4 fire starter sticks to burn.2 flint strikers (paracord bracelet, cool little doodad).1 carabiner clip.2 d rings.2 flashlights (one in the lantern).1 window breaker pen.1 water bottle connector.one carry bag.1 poncho.1 emergency blanket.1 emergency shelter.1 fishing line hook.i bought this in case of emergency. i took out the tools i needed for home (the multi-tool has a hammer and phillips head screwdriver). i gave my kid the knife to keep in their boot for protection at night.i took apart the first aid kit to add it to my big med bag.if we have to evacuate, we're grabbing the med bag with this little kit attached, and the important documents. everything can be replaced.if you don't break this kit down and use the pieces elsewhere, i suggest keeping it in your vehicle. it's always nice to have and not need it, than to need it and not have it.i'll let the serious campers and hikers speak to its usefulness.it's a bit pricey for the quality. the blades on the knives were sharp enough. the saw on the shovel is laughable, but the shovel will dig a small hole.do i recommend it for serious packers and survivalists? no.do i recommend it for emergencies, hobbiests, and the like? sure.
