this product is underwhelming. was excited to try it it looks nice, but it is so slow and barely makes any ice. very tedious and not worth the time orspace it takes up. i returned it!
it'll make ice, however you need to empty the tray after each time it makes ice. it is very wet ice so when placed in the freezer, it just freezes together. if kept in the ice machine it'll melt because the inside of the ice machine isn't cold. it would work best if used for glasses as it was being made.
if you like your ice pre-melted buy this quickly, you'll love this one. takes awhile to get going and each time i get sloppy wet ice. once i get it into my ice box i then have the pleasure of chipping away at it. because it all melts into itself in the freezer creating a giant ice block.
we were so sad when our old counter top ice maker died after 2 years, but we’re excited to see so many positive reviews about this ice maker. we loved it at first, but after 1 month it started making less and less ice. we followed all recommendations from the troubleshooting page, but nothing worked and after only 1.5 months it is basically useless. we will not order another one and will go back to our old ice maker brand.
we hoped to use it for in store events at a retail shop. the small ice tray only holds enough ice to fill 2 glasses. it will make more ice but there’s about 15 mins of time to make enough for the next glass.we tried moving the ice to a freezer as well but it freezes together into one big chunk. overall this is just for at home. however for at home it is noisy and gets more noisy over time as parts get dusty and used.pros: ice starts in 6 mins then you’ll have enough ice for a glass in 20 mins from start. it makes small crushed ice that is easy to chew. it also doesn’t need cleaned too often.con’s: it’s noisy machine. it’s slow to make ice and won’t keep up with demand of a dinner party or any guests.overall it’s more for personal use if you’re just tired of making ice manually.
this made ice as promised but melts so fast. if you add water from the faucet to a cup of ice, it completely melts in minutes. i wound up sending it back. however, if you like ice you can immediately chew, you would be happy with the model!
i thought this ice maker be great for an ice coffee i made. the only thing is there is not enough ice to satisfy me. it takes about 10 minutes to complete. that is a long time to wait.. i feel bad about that. the only thing i can think of is probably be ok if i go camping to use it. it’s not that great to use at home. i normally use an ice tray to make ice cubes in my freezer.
this is good - makes a lot of ice with one fill - does takes a while longer than reviews noted and melts pretty quick but its ook. i wish it had a way to keep the ice colder till i could put it in the freezer - that would make this perfect. i find that if i don't get there within a couple minutes of it being made it starts to melt and then i end up with a tiny crushed mess in bottom of the container i put it in, for the freezer. overall its a cheaper option for ice and it works for now but just beware of the quirks. :)
ice maker works good. makes ice fast and 2 different sizes. i am returning it though because it makes very wet ice and when you place it in the freezer it freezes into a big hard lump of ice.
i have had other countertop ice macines in the past and this one perfprms the worst out of any of them, it ony produces one single ice cube every 8-10 minutes when it is supposed to produce 8 at a time i cant even begin to say how diapointed i am in this
so first the ice just piles up right away so you never get a full basket of ice since it trips the sensor thinking h it’s full. so with that and not having full baskets of ice, it also died after only 13 months use. this is our second one! they never make it to 18 months!!!
purchased in january 2023. lasted for a touch over a year when one side of the moving flap piece came undone. this allowed half of the ice to still be flipped into the bottom tray. soon after the other half broke off and now the ice cannot be flipped into its holding tray.
because of a plastic top and air gets in and the ice melts. the ice you put in your drink doesn’t last because it’s half melted.and it continues to make ice but never fills up.
i’ve melts quickly in the dump basket when weather hot even in kitchen with ac on. does not have auto timer when ice ready and keep maki g ice until arop
if i had known the first ice i got would be the only ice this thing ever made, i probably wouldn't have been so excited. i've done all the recommend trouble shooting, i've called the manufacturer customer service and still no ice. it will be returned. please spare yourself the hassle, this was my 2nd failed attempt with this brand.
top lid is not insulated and you pour the water in the same container where the ice is held, it is useless, the ice thaws at the same rate that it’s made
