i really like the idea of this charger and have used it for a while. however, i've had several instances in hotels where the plug will not stay in the outlet - especially if a wall outlet. i've tried to bend the plug prongs to create more tension, but that's not advisable, nor really possible. in particular, if the charger is in a wall outlet horizontally, the weight of the charger makes it fall of the outlet immediately. this is very frustrating when traveling and i don't have access to my apple charger.
happy with anker products but this one has been frustrating. easily falls out of wall outlet due to heavy weight and rectangular design. works well but, wouldn’t purchase this item again.
due to size /or weight it constantly falls out of the was socket. while anker seems to be aware of this, (there’s an additional mounting part that’s included with suction cups that goes around item.) this piece isn’t useful - as it doesnt stick to walls, and the area space it takes up around it eliminates access to anything socket around it- which in that case, might as well just buy one that’s a large size to begin with.
anker is usually a great product to have i have many other products from anker however, this is not one of them. this i constantly falling out of the outlet with any little bump or slight pull on the usb c cable. it seems like it's too heavy for the prongs to hold it in the outlet properly. i would buy a smaller profile plug to utilize not buy this one. definitely wouldn't buy again
i usually really like anker products, but this wasn’t up to par vs their other products i’ve bought.issues:has trouble staying inserted into a us outlet as it literally has fallen out of several outlets at home, hotels, etc.when it does work, the charging is not anywhere near as advertised, as it doesn’t fast charge, even just one item, let alone 3.advertised as being able to charge multiple apple products via usc, usb etc., but none of my apple devices charge any faster than the standard 25w charger i got with my new apple devices.no idea why it doesn’t seem to work as advertised.i would have returned it asap after purchase (had i known) but i made a mistake putting it in a box then forgetting where it was till 9 months later.was excited to find it and plugging it into a wall outlet that evening, charging my iwatch and iphone (brand new cords with brand new apple products) waking up i realized the unit had fallen out of the outlet.figured it was my mistake…but then it happened again, and again. at home, hotels, etc.just took it to a friend’s house while dog sitting and it fell out of 2 of their outlets!seriously disappointed considering how expensive it was!
i am not sure if it was the particular socket i used or the item but it would easily fall out of the wall outlet so my phone and airpods would often not get the charge. worked great when it stayed in.
charges fast, feels solid. unfortunately that's where the compliments end. make sure that wherever you plug it in, you're only going to have it standing vertically, because this thing loves to sag and fall out of outlets, especially if there's any amount of tension on the charging cable while grabbing to plug it in. the center of gravity is too far forward in the charger.one of the usb-c ports also stopped charging entirely, despite only ever having an anker-branded, nylon-braided, expensive usb-c cable plugged into it.i generally like anker products, but this is a miss. stick with their nano chargers, those things are rock solid.
as the title says, this is slower to charge my watch and or phone than my cheap 30w charger i got from costco about 2 years ago. the difference is that this one can charge more than one thing at a time, which is convenient. the thing that prompted me to write this review is how frustrating it is to stay in the outlet. if you even walk by to quickly, it falls out of the wall. i've even tried to bend the prongs and if i get them to a point where it stays in the outlet, it won't charge so i have to bend them back. the only reason i gave it two stars is because i can charge more than 1 thing at a time, albeit slower than a 30w charger, even with just 1 item charging at a time. i expected more from anker.
it falls out of outlets and even though anker provides a sleeve to help with that, the sleeve does not fit on all outlets. i travel quite a bit and this device does not stay plugged in to airplane outlets.
i am usually such a huge fan of anker products. this charger works well, but is so heavy that it is often falling out of the outlet. it comes with a little rubber boot thing, but that blocks off other outlets. i bought this to take traveling and very often i wake up to my devices not charged because the charger fell out of the outlet overnight. i’d recommend a different anker charger
i'll be straight with you, i love anker. all of my charging things are exclusively anker. they have also managed to pack a lot of punch into such a tiny package.with that said, i think this one was a swing and a miss. i had it fall out of the wall on me so many times when i took it on vacation this week. very annoying hearing my phone unplug in the middle of the night or discover it not charged in the morning. i had to prop my bag against it just to keep it in there, and it was not a problem with the outlets as other chargers stayed in fine.i still love this little thing and i use it as my main charger. they are trying to pack a lot of power into a portable device that doesn't cover the outlets around it. they chose to do this by making the charger longer and densely packed. this means it's heavy and has the leverage to work itself out of the wall very easily. this is fine if you are plugging it in and forgetting it, but that's not the point of this charger, is it? it's meant to travel with you.they are also obviously aware of this problem because they include an insert lined with suction cups. it's a really clunky solution that defeats the purpose of a portable little brick when all they could have done is made it wider like a smart plug and not longer. it's good but it needs a revision for sure.
i love the idea of their product and it’s great when plugged in vertically to a socket. unfortunately when plugged in horizontally it falls out of most sockets. i have lots of anker products (speaker, cables, adapters etc) and this is the first one that let me down. it’s also the most expensive one i bought.
i was so pleased with this charger when i used it at home, and so disappointed during a month-long road trip. it is relatively heavy and sticks out from wall sockets more than the apple laptop charger i had been using. unfortunately, it kept falling out of wall sockets unless the sockets were very tight. in hotels with plugs integrated into bedside lamps, it often didn't fit. in hotels where the spare plug was behind a bedside stand, the furniture had to be moved to get it to fit. i'll be keeping it for use at home, but it was simply not reliable in at least half of the hotels on this trip. too bad, because it is a great concept.
this is a good to great adapter. it has a small footprint and is fairly powerful.the major flaw i see is the height and weight ratio leading to poor stability. i find myself frequently having to, if being used while i am actively using the item being charged, re-plug the charger in because it's slipped out of the socket. it's also not great--due to length and weight--when wall mounted for the same reasons. if the wall plug is not tight then it will have a tendency to sag or fall out entirely. a solution would be for it to have a ground prong that folded in.if you are using one of these i would suggest it not be something you use to charge items you are actively using and perhaps moving around with.
usually enjoy anker products but this one just isn't that good. its compact, charges well and works, but it just consistently falls out of the wall socket upon any light pulling.i know, just don't pull it, but that isn't the point. i'm talking about a slight tug, something you would probably do accidentally when you're reaching for your cable.
