i’m unsure why these have such great reviews. the first one i put on was immediately unusable. it had a small break in one corner of the screen protector. i didn’t notice until it was on my phone. every one of them had dust stuck to them as well, right out of the box.i use a guide from my last set of screen protectors to put them on yet they’re still ill-fitting (one side is always off). everything is misspelled on the inside as well, which indicates lack of quality control.i should have stuck with the last company i went with for screen protectors but i’m leaving for europe on tuesday and the shipping was faster on these.skip this company and pay a little more for good screen protectors.
though all instructions followed and phone was dust-free and clean. there was a bubble in the same spot on two of the three (near the edge, though no dust was present) and the final one had several dust particles. i should’ve just stuck with my normal brand, but it wasn’t prime :(also, there was no guide with this which is common for most other screen protectors. had to go slow and be very mindful about how to line everything up, for it not to matter anyways because there was dust on the protector. fingerprints galore too after just installation, so for something marketed as “bubble free,” “anti fingerprint” and “smudge proof” the ones i had weee none of those. reached out to amazon and got my money back.
after following application instructions, there was still dust (or something similar) and air bubbles under the glass. this happened with the first 2 glass applications. the third glass application has only one minor flaw. i do not recommend.
i’m not someone who’s tech savvy, but i always had great success installing the ailun screen protectors on my old iphone se. recently that phone was damaged and i decided to get the basic iphone 14. trying to apply this screen protector was difficult for me, and i had to peel it off several times to re-align in order to make it square up properly. despite aligning the top with the speaker, it appears the screen protector is not quite wide enough to easily square up with the sides and bottom corners of the phone. unfortunately, i got a lot of dust under there after removing it for re-alignment. perhaps it’s just me personally, but i wasn’t pleased with this aspect of the product. i also found the guide stickers did not hold the screen very well (dropped the protector onto the screen while attempting to align) and i found myself using my fingers to hold the edges while i set it on my phone. i have yet to see how effective it is as a screen protector and i hope it’s at least as good as the ailun brand. as i said, maybe i’m just terrible at installing these things, but i never had this problem before and have gone through several screen protectors on previous phones. on the positive side it does come with 3 screen protectors and it’s only like $6. i did follow the instructions, such as they are. hopefully the second one will go on more easily!
