it's ok as long as you keep tray secured, but tray stains and the marks can't be cleaned. the bottom uses a different material than sides so if you don't lock the tray in place pets can get through easily out of the 6 inch gaps. the bottom holes are very large. clips that allows it to be foldable are made of plastic. also lock on the door could be better. it pivots side to side as it opens and closes so you have to make sure all three tabs go behind slots or pets can force their way out. i've tried multiple cleaners to clean bottom but didn't have any luck.
bought this in september 2024 and destroyed by october 2024 my dog has been escaping and destroying it just with his teeth it is not the strong and has been easily escaped every time i leave the house to the point today the cage collapsed in on him while he got out very bad buy especially for 80 dollars
i bought this a month before i adopted my dog. she has chewed on the crate and black paint has come off. hope it’s not toxic!! there is black stiff stuck on my floor around the crate. guessing it’s drool mixed with the paint. the spots where the paint is missing is beginning to rust. not going to put my dog in here anymore. don’t dogs crew on crates to try to get out. bad idea to paint it black!!! waste of my money. looking for another crate…..not on amazon. can’t return it, past the return window
overall if your dog is calm in their cage this cage will be fine for them but if your dog wants to try to ge out of this thing they will.i have a few month old pitt and he would simply just push or pull on the side panels or corner and push to detach the hooks and walk right out.what i did to fix this was i ended up buying locks to put on the corners he would push out from.
good crate, easy to set up but my husky was able to push the door out in a very short time period. we were gone for only 2 hours and he managed to get out before we got home. i imagine this crate would be fine for a dog much smaller. but at a 48” inch size most dogs of this size will be able to push their way out if they really don’t want to be in there
