they keep food very fresh, but they are so hard to open. i sometimes have to pry a butter knife between the lid and container to get the lid off. i’ve noticed putting cut apples in the containers keep the apples from turning brown, so in terms of food freshness they are great. however, if you have a hard time with your hands or arthritis in general, these are not for you.
while they seal very well, they are hard to open. ended up cracking one lid getting it open. i thought they would get easier to open with use but they are not.
i like the size and clarity of the plastic boxes. my only problem is that they are hard to open. first you have the clips on the sides and then lifting the top, sealed with rubber. most of the time i open it, my hand slips from the pull strength needed and i break a fingernail. will not be buying anymore.
these are nice containers but are extremely hard for the kids to open (7/8yo) and even somewhat difficult for the adults to get open too. they do stack together but they don’t just slip into each other nicely and can catch on each other when pulling out. so far they do not hold any food stains and are aesthetically pleasing to look at. since i’ve bought the kit, we’ll keep using them as i had to replace what we had due to old age/smelliness.
the containers were a little difficult to open, but i liked them until they started absorbing the colors of our food. that makes me wonder what i’m eating along with that food. i will not be buying these again.
these containers are so tight that they are just too hard to use. i have to get my husband to open them sometimes and my kids stand no chance. very frustrating.
these containers are so air tight that the large ones are hard to open. also, some of them developed cracks, even without putting them in the dishwasher.
