it took my wife less than a second to notice the zipper is on the bottom and sides. if you don't put the laptop in inside pocket and velco it in, if zipper breaks or you forget to zipper it up the laptop will fall to the ground. it's absurb. i would return it but it is only for home storage - i would never give it to use for a college student. i am not happy.
once i received it i know it will be a problem. there are several versions of this product. the one i received has a zipper inside. it will scratch your laptop... see the photo.
not sure how this passed quality control(is there such a thing anymore?). fresh from the factory with zero use the zipper pulls came unattached. i fixed it by squeezing them with pliers. makes me more than a little worried that the rest of the build quality is suspect. also, if you are looking for an all in one solution to carry a 17” laptop and a power brick (gaming laptop) then look elsewhere. there is no room or side pouch.
just bought a refurbished dell precision m6800 i7-4 from microcenter and wanted a laptop case. i prefer the thin minimalist type. oh boy is this a minimalist case!although it looks cool, i really don't trust anything about the design. i don't like the lack of padding, the zipper, the handle or the interior pocket. the laptop fits in here and nothing else save a few sheets of paper no exaggeration no kidding around.there is no way on earth the cord and power supply that came with the laptop will fit in the case. seriously, i don't even think i can fit a pen in the bag.i'm keeping it for now as something to put the laptop in for transport, but i have no illusions about its actually protecting my laptop much or lasting very long. this 17.3 inch laptop is heavy, like its crazy heavy. i wanted certain features for work and the price was right but wow. the handle doesn't quite seem up to the task and either does the zipper which is the only think keeping the laptop inside the case.i will probably dig out my old school laptop briefcase from back in the day or buy a new one if this heavy laptop won't fit. i think if you are desperate to have a cool looking no frills case and have no intention of fitting the cord and power supply in it, then this is the case for you. other reviews did mention this and i thought it was an exaggeration but it isn't.3 stars is generous, and the only reason i am giving it 3 stars is i did read all the reviews and bought it anyway so some of this is on me. hope this helps.
